off plan this weekend

got de-railed with desserts Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Everything else was on plan.

I am very discouraged, as prior to this weekend I hadn't lost anything.
I am also getting sick of the food I am eating.

Just in a rut I guess. I am not giving up, but need to figure out some new recipes, and get re-inspired.

Hope all is well with everyone,
Deb

#1. I am sorry. Going off plan happens. What did you learn from this particular experience?
#2. There is so much you can eat on SB. Would you be willing to post menus, so we can suggest alternative choices?
#3. Hang in there. Even if the scale doesn't move, you will have nsvs.

Mmc had great advice and questions. Glad to hear you are not giving up. You will be glad you hung in there:)

Been there, done that. Just get right back on plan. Shake up your menu. Find some things you really enjoy and savor eating, so you look forward to your meals. I know it may sound corny, but I think about all the healthy changes inside my body, even when the scale isn't co-operating. You might try taking measurements, and not relying so much on the scale to give you encouragement.

Thanks everyone, I am back on strict phase 1 as of today.

I was trying some the mock breakfasts for a while (oatmeal, cinnamon rolls) and as tasty as they are, and I think they may have triggered cravings for more sweets.

I will have my basic 1 egg omelet with canadian bacon and lf cheese for breakfast.

Lunch is usually a huge salad with spinach and dark greens, pecans, lf cheese and chick breast.
Dinner is some sort of beans usually with veggies mixed in(spinach or tomatoes), lean beef or chicken, and roasted green beens, zuchinni, or broccoli.
I usually sprinkle lf cheese on my beans.
I am probably using too much cheese, but I don't care for yogurt unless it has lots of fruit and granola in it ;0...
I find I don't need snacks, and around 3 or 4 pm will have a green chai tea(tea bag kind, no sugar), and that keeps me until supper.
I do use skim milk in my am coffee and tea. I don't use artificial sweeteners too much except in my 1 cup of afternoon tea.
Oh and yes, LOTS of water!!!

That is the scoop.
Thanks again all!
Deb

I'd do a phase one for a few days to get the cravings under control.

Ok, the rut thing. I've been at this for almost 3 years (next month) and the trick is to NEVER be bored with your food. Try something new constantly. There are so many good recipes out there that you could eat something different every day for years. What I do is try something new. If I really like it, I print out the recipe and save it in a file. If I don't then no loss.

Make your plates pretty and attractive to look at, colorful etc and plan ahead..search for foods you already like and find new recipes for them.

And tell yourself that sugar and white flour are poison...because the are.

This board has been great for me when I get in a rut like that. I just look at the recipes, and even the OP thread to get ideas for new foods. I have found that with a lot of foods, something I LOVED one week makes me want to hurl the next, so changing things up definitely keeps me going!
