What kind of scale do you have?
 

I had posted a thread about a month ago about how my digital scale must be wonky.

It is.. it has to be.. I stepped on it this AM and weighed myself a few times within two minutes.. in those two minutes it said I weighed 159.1 (which I knew was wrong)161.4, 164.8, 162.2 and 166.5

so.. I'm in the market for a new scale.. any suggestions? I thinking analog might be better than digital.

Suggestions? Thoughts?

I have a digital scale. When it starts to go a little wacky I know I need to change the battery. Could that be it in your case too?

Consumer reports also liked digital better. So does Good Housekeeping. You might check out ratings on epinions.com once you have one you are interested in. We have a digital Tanita that has kept constant for years.

Consistency is key - any two scales could weigh you differently, you just need to know how you are changing over time. There is an old saying that if you have two clocks you will never know what time it is. I think the same holds true for scales!

Maybe.. the thing is only a few months old... but I'll give it a shot.

If you use yours as religiously as I use mine lol, it'll need to be changed often!

But the same scale changing over 7lbs in less than a two minutes? :dizzy:

I have an analog scale and sometimes I wish I had a digital because it's hard to tell the small differences.

I have heard of people weighing their hand weights to see if their scales are accurate. I think the battery changing idea is a good one as well.

I have a digital scale and definitely prefer it to analog only because it's easy to read to the decimal point. (every ounce counts! lol) I would check the batteries.

I have a digital scale that I love! We weigh in once a day and change batteries once every 6 months? It's got 5 saved settings...
