I just noticed that it has A LOT of carbs and sugar. Is this good to have for Phase 1?
He suggests 2 cups of it a day. Atkins always said no skim milk because of the carbs. Remember, South Beach is not a "low carb" diet. There's something magical about the combo of 4.5 cups veggies, 2 cups low fat or non fat dairy, 1 serving of beans. It just works.
The sugar in milk is lactose and is OK. It's sucrose, fructose and some of the other Ose Family who are eliminated in Phase I.
