I guess it depends if you want a sweet or salty experience. I would say add some splenda and fruit (if you are at that point) if you want sweet. If you want salty, make tzaziki or else you could mix some eggplant caponata with it too.

I hate it... I really tried to eat it because it was better for you... I only liked the plain with splenda...but its more of a texture thing for me... I personally think it tastes like cement or something of that sort..

I only buy the Fage brand (other brands do not taste the same) and I add DaVinci's syrup to it. My favorite is the toasted hazelnut and I also add a little cocoa powder, a few frozen raspberries & some toasted chopped hazelnuts

I like it best with a drizzle of agave nectar and toasted walnuts, but I've also started liking it plain, too.

You could do all sorts of things to flavor it such as adding Crystal Light powder, SF jello powder, cocoa powder or expresso powder with articificial sweetener, stir in some pumpkin puree and artificial sweetener, etc. It's also great mixed with salsa and used as a salad dressing.

I buy the Oikos at Walmart or the Trader Joe's brand (cheaper than Fage which I love). I add Splenda and vanilla. If you bake an apple (Phase II) in the microwave and add cinnamon and Greek yogurt you don't need any sweetener. Very good!

Default Thanks

Thanks for all the good ideas. I'm on Phase 1 so all the fruit ideas are out for me right now. I liked it much better than the Low fat Ricotta "dessert" that was suggested in the SBD book...YUCK- that was a huge texture issue for me!!! I think the sugar free syrups and cocoa powder ideas will be a little better than the splenda and vanilla.....

I love it plain -- I like Fage and Chobani the best. Also, add it to fruit and blend for a thicker shake. I like the texture -- thicker like pudding!

I think my favorite is pumpkin pie spice and splenda for making it sweeter. If you find you object to the texture you can always go for the regular FFSF yogurt.

I like to get the small snack sizes of it, throw in some dill, onion, lemon juice, and pepper and use it to dip veggies in. It also tastes amazing over salmon or chicken.

On the ricotta subject, I had to shop around to find the best tasting ones. The store brands have terrible taste & texture. The Frigo and Sargento brands are much better!

I LOVE Greek yogurt...My favorite recipe is greek yogurt, kool whip and a sf choc pop (1/2 of a two pop)...I microwave the popsicle about 5 sec just until soft enough to get off stick...stir like crazy in the gr yogurt and you have ICE CREAM!!!
I buy the fage and sometimes the one at walley's...I guess it is an acquired taste but I have definitely acquired it...BEST
