Phase 1-er really jonesing for sugar

I'm on day 6 of phase one and up until this day I haven't really had any cravings at all, but today I have been craving sugar since immediately after breakfast.

I guess it's fortunate that I'm at work and don't really have any foods that are necessarily cheat-worthy, but I am just miserable.

It's like the cravings I used to get when I was eating so so so many refined carbs; I just can't get the idea out of my head! :(

SF Jello and pistachios usually keep me happy during Phase 1.
The sf jello is sweet and the pistachios are crunchy and salty, take a while to shell and eat (30 are 1 serving :D) and the protein tides me over til mealtime.

Good luck to you!

Ok, I must remember that hot black tea w/ a splash of milk and a pkt of Splenda curbs my sugar cravings. I tried it once before and gave it a go again a few mins ago and by God if it didn't work again. I'll have to start keeping tea and Splenda in my purse :)

That's sorta what I did ... I had a few stalks of celery dipped in 2 tbsp of natural peanut butter. I feel like a geek saying this but celery and pb have really become one of my favorite snacks. It's healthy and filling.

What did you have for breakfast? Is there something that could've set off the cravings?

I think that might be a possibility ... I tried the mock pancakes from the recipe area and it might've set me off. However, I'm thinking if I have some V8 with it, a savory to offset the sweet, I might be alright. I'll try again on another day.

Ohhh, I hate those days! I tend to eat savory when I crave sweet. Or, like nomena said, I eat lots of veggies. If I eat something "sweet", I know I'm not really getting it so going savory helps.

Try water too. Sometimes, I just pee the sweet out. Not to be crude or anything ;)
