Hey, everyone! Late check-in again today. I got to work this morning and headed straight downstairs to drag out our artificial tree and the boxes of decor that go with it. All that's left to put up are two wreaths for the front doors and some garlands for the stair rails outside. There's a lot of debate about who is responsible for hanging those, so I'm going to wait until after the holiday to see if the maintenance man puts them out before we get back. If not, I'll take care of it next Monday.

Now we're just waiting for the courthouse across the street to shut down. When they shut down (usually around 3), we get to go home. I'm afraid my eating has been atrocious, but I've been keeping up with my workouts. That's my goal for the week; WORK OUT!

Okay, off to post my exercise and then I must get some paperwork done.

Hope Ruth arrives to Cottage's soon!!

Well, has Ruth made it yet? Getting delayed stinks.
Maggie broke her arm, cottage? Poor baby.
SillyFluff, sorry for the stress. Let's hear it for small weddings!
Good job on the exercise Kim!
Hi Kara!
Gothik, just remember, dried beans, eggs, oatmeal, frozen veggies, canned tuna - good cheap food options. Sorry about the job.
Heidi, to you too. It must be so difficult for you as well.
Kierie! Missed you girl. I'm still waiting for a Picatinny trip.
Hi Pearlrose, haven't "seen" you in a while!
Lexxis,
Cat, your Thanksgiving sounds delicious as always!
Lexxis, I never have too much trouble with Thanksgiving - skip the bread and potatoes, have turkey, sauerkraut, baked sweet potato, lots of veggies/salad, and bring a sugar free pumpkin dessert. Seems like the easiest holiday to stay on plan to me! It' the other days (every day) that give me trouble...

I'm working tomorrow morning, then off until Monday. DH is taking me to Volt for birthday lunch tomorrow, then I plan to cook a mini-Thanksgiving dinner for the kids tomorrow night (so they will not feel deprived). Thursday we are off to Williamsburg bright and early. It's time for DH to get back to work and he has to pick between two options, so he said he will take the trip to mull it over and decide by Sunday. Then I can figure out what our lives will be like for the next 6 months.
Happy preparations everyone!

I just drooled a little. Seriously. Will you post recipes sometime? Oh my god. I am salivitating. I wish I was making all of that stuff for thanksgiving.

did not get the job. was 2nd in line...

was pretty depressed yesterday and slept 16 hours of 24.

don't know if I can stay on plan for a while. I have 3 weeks left of unemployment and then won't have any cash coming in ... I have to pay rent and save as much as i can for gas money so i may have to buy crap food for a while.

I dunno.. just feelin pretty down right now.

it will all work out... i just keep tellin myself that.

the temp agency is workin on some other options for me... hope to hear about them soon.

I know how you feel and I am sorry to hear of your plight. Financial problems really do hinder a person in diet success because it really is hard to buy all of the healthy (and sometimes more expensive) things that we need. Sometimes it is much easier to buy ramen noodles and $1 lipton noodle packets and hot pockets! I've been there. My financial problems have often got in the way of my diet success.

I don't know if you would be eligible for this and I don't mean to offend but maybe you could try applying for food stamps? There is no shame in it, you have paid taxes before by working, just like everyone else. And if it helps then there's no shame in that either. I have been on them before, I admit. Sometimes it has to be done. It is a hard time out there for jobs right now. I've applied to the most mundane of places and have recieved no calls for interviews, I understand where you are coming from.

Good luck to you!

thanks for the support ladies...

I willdo what I can.. and I did apply for food stamps but the state is backed up 3-5 months with acceptance right now so I probably won't know for a while yet.

I had a Digiorno tuscan chicken flat bread pizza and a kit kat for dinner and I honestly don't care. Just needed the comfort.

Things will work out. I know they will. I just might be really fat for longer than I wanted to be. heh.
