Cyndi, good morning! Here's your coffee - :coffee2: It's definitely not a frost-free morning here! I'm glad I remember to bring in my cactus last night. We bought a case of wine, so I'm hoping that's enough to hold us over. ;) Jake, Monica and I polished off a bottle last night.

Twynn, that's nice that your time and efforts were appreciated for the cat clinic. We'll be spending a lot of time at Home Depot right after Christmas, as we're finally going to remodel the bathroom, and we plan to gut it and start from scratch.

Well the ball was the most uncomfortable 2 hours of my life. We had the skank-patrol sitting at our table. Their dresses (I refuse to call them gowns) were very inappropriate for the event. Yes it is a bit of jealousy, but I asked Brad if he would let me wear something like that even if I had the body for it and he said its inappropriate as well. I was embarassed for them, it was basically a mesh bodice with lace appliques covering their nipples. And it was so crowded that we were sitting at a table that is supposed to seat 8 that seated atleast 10 people. And the table that we were smashed up against had this lady sitting behind me that felt like I need very little room. Everytime we had to stand up for the ceremony she'd push her chair more into mine to the point where I basically had to suck my stomach in to stand up because I couldn't move my seat. Needless to say, we did not stay after the ceremony. We got home, I took off my uncomfortably tight dress and got in the bed. That was the best part of the evening. :)

Today is gonna be last minute shopping for thanksgiving, cleaning and laundry. talk to you all later.

Ahh...I did snuggle with Kirk and he just got through scrubbing the kitchen floor on his hands and knees. :rofl:He also did the countertops and since our meals are all at our church today, I'm set for tomorrow's departure.

Chelby, what a disaster! I'll bet you're glad that's over! Hope today is more fun!

Cottage, I'm glad you got to sleep in. Poor Maggie! Have a great day with the family!

KimStar, last night sure sounded like fun. Did you catch any fish?

Pearlrose, what base are you near? Hope that shopping gets done before it's too busy.

Weebs, hope those papers are getting done with minimal stress!

Cyndi, Pie is great-crust OK. For TG I bought individual ramekins for pie-no crust! Have fun being "domestic". Geez...I haven't heard disco discussed for quite awhile!

Twynn, your volunteering really helps! Thanks! Have fun coupon clipping.

Silly, what a unfun time...those events sure get crazy. Hope you have a little peace today.

Heidi, I really like your new book.

Ok, time to get my salad ready for church. I have to go in 45 min. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, all!

Ruth: I'm glad the electricity situation at the church worked out. When I read your update on FB I said a quick prayer that it would. Sounds like it was a fun time for all involved! Enjoy your tea-sippin'!

Lexxiss: I'm glad you had a great time with your new friends! Enjoy your day!

Linda: So sorry to hear about Maggie. I hope she heals quickly!

Chelby: Wow, that does sound like an awful night!! I'm glad Auston seems to be doing fine and wasn't traumatized by "the worst day of his life"! Hope you and DH get a do-over on date night soon!

Cyndi: Enjoy your walk with your bf! I guess we're all SOL in the sanity department, then!

Twynn: It's nice that you got that certificate for all of your hard work yesterday! I hope you and DH enjoy using it!

SillyFluff: Sorry last night was such a bust. I hope you schedule in some rest for yourself today!

Kara: I forgot to answer your question from the other day. The obstacle course is still there, but I've been doing inside workouts in the mornings, so it's been a little neglected. I'm sure we'll spruce it up again in the spring!

Me: Fishing was a blast. Jason caught two right away, but I fished for hours without a nibble. I finally landed a small, 1/2 lb. or so large-mouthed bass and then there was nothing for quite a while. Not too long before we needed to leave, I landed a nice 1.5 - 2 pounder. It was awesome! I can honestly say that yesterday was the first time I remember ever catching a fish. I definitely didn't want to leave after that! (Since none of them were really keepers, all fish were returned to their home...not a single casualty.)

We're off to church in about 10 minutes and then we're going to come home for a leftover lunch. I need to get the fridge cleaned out for this week! The turkey is already defrosting, but it would be nice to have some extra space for the pies and the prepped casseroles.

After lunch, I'm going to put the second coat of primer up on the kitchen and that's how it's going to stay for a while. I know we need to get a coat of enamel up there, but I forgot to budget it in for December and, after sending some money to MIL to help with her bills, we're stretched really thin for the remainder of the year. Okay...off to get dressed. I must remember to remove my slippers!!

Good morning (barely; it's nearly noon here, but I didn't get to sleep until 4.) I was here for a wee while back in August, and stopped posting because I was on and off plan because I've had an intermittent mouth inflammation/infection that my doctor said was caused by stress. It will clear up and then, if I have something acidic, like tea or salad dressing, it flares up again and I could eat nothing but bland, preferably cool foods, and could not deal with that and SB too. I kept track of calories, gained four pounds and took them off last week when I started back on the Beach. I've missed you all (and especially the what's for dinner thread. I'm going to try the lentil soup with many vegetables that Laurie posted last week. I haven't chopped that many vegetables at one time in about 25 years!)

I have a week off this week -- my school has a long Thanksgiving break -- so I'll be able to keep a schedule, cook, and walk -- my three demons. That's what I've planned for today.

Sillyfluff, are you talking about the military ball? I know someone who attended, and they might have been one of the ones wearing skanky dresses. LOL! I know how you feel. Sometimes being around thinner girls who are dressed perhaps a bit inappropriately makes me a little... I dunno. I think it's part jealousy (on my part, not saying on yours), and yearning for the body I used to have and the clothes I used to wear. And of course, I don't like my husband to be reminded of other female's bodies. It's a combination of many, many things.

Well day 7 of phase 1, haven't lost a single pound, I guess I'll re-evaluate what I'm doing? I've done this too many times to have gotten it wrong, I'm not sure what is going on.

Today I plan to do a really thorough clean in here.. It is terrible. I have gotten so behind and my husband is no help. I just have to get off of facebook first! LOL!

Have a good day everyone.

Ruthxxx 11-22-2009 12:22 PM

Melanie, how about posting your actual menus and quantities in the Phase I thread? We can then take a look at it and perhaps make some suggestions.

Fat Melanie 11-22-2009 12:26 PM

Okay, sounds great! :D I'll make my way over there a.s.a.p for sure.
