Fuss-Free Friday!

It's the end of another week and I have my usual moment of panic - my Friday Flap. I always wonder where the heck the time went and then realize how much I did get done. I think I have to stop making massive to do lists for the week. Maybe daily or even hourly ones? Smarten up, Ruthie!

It's so nice to see new Beachers posting in the Daily as well as in the Phase I thread. :) It's like having the neighbours in for coffee every day.

Today is Big Bake Day and I need to be strong. I broke my own rule yesterday and "sampled" some squares. :nono: They are real food porn so I feel very guilty. I'm off to the gym at 7:30 so will do some extra treadmill as penance and resolve to sin no more.

This is the third day this week when Jazz has wakened me at 4 a.m. with puppy crying. :( He seems fine and is in no hurry to go out for potty but just seems to need petting first thing. So I get up, put on the coffee and do major cuddles with both dogs. It's sort of a nice way to start the day but would be just as nice at 6:30! I think Disney feels the same as I do but is too polite to say anything.

So TGIF and let's just get on with it! :cofdate:

mornin ruth!

time management, huh. it's a real doozy, 'specially with new lil furbabies. i am reading "getting things done" and it's actually pretty helpful!
kudos for gittin up on that treadmill!

sending major willpower your way-withstand the foodporn! :)

me- still sick a-bed. virus will be taken care of by antibiotics but doctor says chronic bacterial infection needs to be "ridden out" ugh. not good at taking it easy...i am an "either or" type of girl. ah, well. enough whining!

sun is shining and sky is blue-hope the same for you!!

It's raining, it's pouring! And the old man's snoring kept me awake most of the night.

Richard will be bringing Maggie over here today. She's feeling much better, but still had a low-grade fever yesterday, so she can't go back to school yet. We're going to bring some stuff up from the basement to get ready for the neighborhood yardsale tomorrow, and comb through the rest of the house for stuff to unload. We may fit in a small grocery shop, too, since I won't be able to do it tomorrow. Then, later, we have to pick up Audrey and a friend after school for riding lessons, and I'll be staying at their place until their teenage babysitter comes to take over for the night. The girls want pizza, so if Maggie's tummy can handle it, that's what their supper will be. I'll just pick up a Kashi pizza for me. ;)

This coffee is tasting especially good on this dreary, rainy morning. :coffee:

Ruthie, it's a good thing Jazz is so cute so he can get away with the pre-dawn wake up call. Wish I was there so I could give both pups a nice cuddling.

Janet, it seems like you've been ill a long time! I hope your meds get you to feeling better fast!

Good morning ladies!
I've only got a minute, but I was afraid if I didn't pop in and say hello now I wouldn't get around to it at all (like yesterday ).

My old dog is very hard of hearing now and after years of meeting me at the bottom of the stairs every morning I now have to wake her up. Reading about puppies that want to be snuggled before the sun comes up brings back some sweet memories. (Kind of like my memories of getting up to nurse my babies in the middle of the night....I'm sure I enjoy the memories more than I actually enjoyed getting up at the time. lol)

Janet, I hope you feel better very soon. *hug*
And I hope Maggie's feeling as good as new in time for her pizza supper.

Have a great Friday everyone! It's time for me to brave the rain and head off to another day of inside recesses and wound up 5 year olds! lol

Chelby29 10-09-2009 07:26 AM

Happy Friday!

Ruth, You are the busiest person I know! You should be proud of yourself of all you get done. :)

Janet, I hope you feel better! I don't like 'taking it easy' for more than a day either.

Cottage, We're having a yard sale at the office next month. I'm collecting my cr@p daily! :)

Heidi, It took me a LONG time to have good memories of Auston's first three months of life. Gosh, I was exhausted! Now that he's 5, I have sweet memories. You teach Kindergarten? I think Auston's teacher is AMAZING to keep 15 5 year olds in line! What a job!

Me: We're going to the beach! WooHoo!!! This morning, I'm getting my hair done. I'm excited about that, too. Last night, Jeff informed me he needs new shorts, so I'm going to Walmart before my hair appointment. I might sleep when we get in the car and head south! :)

Pops (the buyer of the dog) is keeping Sparkit while we are gone. I hope Sparkit wakes him up ever day at 4:00 a.m.!

Good Morning:sunny:

Was I ever suprised to check in this AM and see Ruth and Janda had both stopped in already! We're supposed to be sleeping in! I have to admit I've been drinking decaf for 2 weeks now and it hasn't affected my early wake up at all. Ruth, I agree it's really nice to have the new "neighbors" dropping in.
MissKoo, Heater, KDHW,

Ruth, hope your workout was productive. It sure seems to have an effect on the scale! You are a stronger woman than I to do all that baking. I did make a SB friendly crustless pumpkin pie yesterday that was quite tasty, but I'm sure it wouldn't go over so well with the general public. Enjoy your day at home with the doggies.

Janda, sorry to hear you're still under the weather. I don't think many of us enjoy not having that "up and at 'em". I think you're doing great with SB sick style. Hope you feel a tad better.

Heidi, thanks for stopping by. I find if I don't check in first thing, it gets harder and harder as the day goes on.
I'm pretty happy having a new doggie who bounces around in the morning. It's hard when they aren't as perky as they used to be. You are very strong dealing with 5 year olds every day. When the neighbor kids come over I'm soon ready for my quiet life. Hope your Friday is "Fuss Free".

Cottage, sorry Maggie is still sick, but having her at your house sounds like a nice option. I wish I could bring all my stuff to your yard sale. I had a box of really nice clothes destined for the consignment store to find they may be closing. Tomorrow night will be Kashi Pizza night at our house. Happy Friday

Hi Chelby. Hope your day is "Spicy" and that you get your nap in later. I know how much you love the beach. Have a great time and take some pictures.

Gothik, glad you came up with a solution to your $$ situation. With your strong attitude, you will find success-its just hard sometimes.

DH and I have been on a cleaning fest since 3AM. We're going over the hill after swimming. Kirks ex is coming in Monday to check on DD, so it's a mandatory trip. It is such a pain, but it's always nice to come back to a clean house. We'll convoy, but I'll probably drive Mothers car since it looks like snow and ice on Vail Pass. Tonight is King Crab night at the country club so there is an OP reward.

Good morning everyone

Ruth that was an early wakeup call but cuddling is a nice way to start the morning.

Jandaman hope that you get to feeling better soon and kick that virus' behind. :getwell:

Cottage DD2 wants to have a garage sale I was going to have this weekend but forgot to post in the papers so maybe next weekend?

Heidi good luck with an indoor day with the kids at school.

Chelby you will have to post a picture of you Spicy, have fun at the beach

Debbie you are the cleaning queen, can you come over ;)

As for me today is the end of customer service week so we will have a celebration luncheon and award technician of the year award to one of our staff, should be fun I will be sure to stay op. Tonite is DS football game, it is supposed to stop raining by around 1 p.m. but it will be cold, I will have to bring a lap blanket with me. :)

Have a great day everyone

Good morning ladies :coffee: and happy FRIDAY!!!
I signed on this morning before heading to work to check on my Quaker Oats post....thanks again Ruth for your help on that......I didnt want to eat it again this morning if it was a no no.

Lexiss - You have been cleaning since 3 am.....did I read that correctly?? WOW you and your DH are VERY early risers!!! I would love a copy of your pumpkin pie recipe....one of my favorites!! Enjoy your crab fest.....sounds yummy!!

Ruth - thank you again for your input on my oatmeal.....you are an early riser.....hope your gym time was good!! Not sure if I would be able to bake cookies and not eat any.....I dont even like if when my daughter bakes brownies in the house because the smell alone can start my cravings!!

Janda - I hope those meds kick in and your feeling better soon....there is nothing worse then to be sick when you have 100 things you would rather be doing.

Cottage - hopefully Maggie will be better this weekend.....my oldest daughter (17) was sick last week and it lasted the entire week.

Chelby - you have me thinking about taking the kids to the beach this weekend......where are you headed? New hair always puts me in a happy mood.....would love to see pics!!

Gothik - happy to hear that you were able to get your groceries and fill out your application!!!

My daughter was happy to wake up early this morning so that we could walk to school together. It was nice.....a little humid, but nice to chat with her and get some exercise in for me......2 1/2 miles total so that makes me feel good!!!
