Has anyone had their gallbladder removed and successfully lost weight on SB?

The friend of mine who got me started on SB had her GB out several years before losing weight on this plan. What is your particular concern with SB and GB removal?

I had my gallbladder out years ago and was told to go on a low fat diet. I was just wondering if the reason was because low fat diets were big back then or if I really did need to do low fat.

South Beach is pretty low fat also though.I think it would be a better choice than Atkins because of your gallbladder removal.I know many people that are still affected by gallbladder symptoms with a high fat diet, even after gallbladder is gone.
