As usual, an adventure turned up this morning. We decided to take a drive out to the lake and eat at our favorite breakfast place, then to the Fresh Market...got some salmon burgers, tuna steaks and other yummies. That place is way to expensive, but hey, I gotta splurge sometimes (easy to say when the kids are grown!)

But, what I wanted to post about is a book I'm reading. I had seen an ad for the book on the link banners here and decided to click on it the other day. In fact I see it right now on this page. The Gabriel Method. I figured what the h@ll and ordered it. Man, does it every make sense. It's not a "diet" book at all but rather on what goes on mentally to make us hold on to fat...kind of a way to reach your deep down self and connect that with your body that has it's own mind. VERY interesting. The second part of the book is more of the chemistry of body and how food groups do what and why, similar to SB book, but to me it's more in depth. If you need a good read, I would highly suggest this. It has really opened up my mind. I already knew that this process is mostly mental, but this put things I was thinking into words and tells WHY.

Howdy:sunny:

I got my berries picked and am enjoying Mom's flowers. I needed to pop something in the mail so i hopped on my bike and got a little exercise in. It's been pretty quiet around here. Just watching a little tv and finding some of Schmoodles "procrastination success"...

Cat, I love small adventures...and your book sounds very interesting. You should post it on the thread. Funny story about the ex. I chuckled-please don't tell me if he's on the credit report.com ba-by ad.

Chelby, hopefully your work day is almost over. Boring.?? You always tell me things about Colorado I didn't know. Wonder if RS is still there? I wouldn't want that job for anything.

Kim, hope you have good news about your DH. Thanks for the kind words. DH is gone for 3 weeks, part of what is hard is I would love to go, but have been so ashamed of my weight. It's easier to stay home. Maybe next year! Did you already pick out your BD gift.?

Sophie, thanks for the kind note and recipe. Glad you liked the energy bars. I'll post it one of these days. My beads are scattered all over the dining room table. I hope my kitty cat, feline friend, AKA Sophia doesn't get up there and start playing. HA HA Actually, Sophia is my best friend from Hong Kong. When we were looking for a new feline, we knew it was fate because the shelter had already named her.

Twynn, what a touching kitty story. My kitty wouldn't have made it, but for a caring clinic. She's a miracle. Wish I could have another. Glad to hear from you and that your staying on track with all the busy busy in your life.

Hmm I'm thinking of a strong cup o tea. .then maybe a cat nap.

Hi Debbie! I'm glad you are having a better time this year. :) The Russell Stovers factory is still in Montrose, CO. We actually visited there about 6 years ago, when I was pregnant. I just smiled as I shoved pounds of chocolate covered cherries in my mouth. I'm still working off those cherries!

Debbie - what do yo do with the beads? I beaded for years but haven't picked it back up. I still have all my best seed beads though, just in case.
