For your activities coming up; with your sister, I think it would be lots of fun to discover new, healthier options that taste delicious! That way you could still visit a lot of restaurants, but not get off plan. As for the graduation party, if you know the hosts, just give them a call and ask them if they would mind if you brought a veggie tray to pass. That way you would know there would be something friendly to eat!

Hi Kim! Thanks for the advice. I think I will offer to bring a veggie tray. I never thought to do that. What kind of exercise do you do and how often. I noticed you mentioned your husband is planning your exercise. Is he a personal trainer by chance?

Hi, Jenn! I just sent you a PM about my hubby and my workout program.

I really like this discussion about the sweet potato fries! If it were me, I would see if a friend was going to order them, and then beg them for "just one."

This discussion has me thinking about the way I approach "special events" and vacations. I usually say to myself, "Oh, I've been so good...I'm just not going to THINK about what I'm eating this one night (or this one trip). " And it's the mental vacation from eating well that sets me up for a big downfall. Kudos to you for thinking it all out ahead. It's got me thinking ahead as well.

Take care,
Kate

Hi Everyone!

It's been a wild and crazy day in the office. I left the house at 6:45 this morning, and am just now slowing down. I love days like that. :)

Auston is so excited about flying on a plane to Louisiana. He loves airports. We usually fly through Memphis, which is a nice, small airport. This time we're flying through Houston. I'm thinking I may need a leash for him.

Debbie, My biggest challenge in having a 'treat' is stopping and getting back on the wagon. I cannot tell you how many times my 'treat' turns into a week long binge. I hate that about myself. My opinion on the fries... If you can get right back on plan, do it! Just be aware that it may not be easy.

Thanks all, for the advice today. I don't order my own SPF's, they are ordered and people share, so I don't have to hose an entire order. I can enjoy my salad and have a few. I am pretty "OP" right now and trust myself to hop hop back on. I wouldn't do this with reg fries or white flour or sugar right now, but have decided I'm ok with sweet potato.

Debbie, With your attitude, I think you can do anything you set your mind to. :)

Chickies,

The vertigo has slowly left me. I have to be careful not to make any sudden moves. Hopefully, it won't come back when I go to Calgary to see DD and her family. We are babysitting our grandson for 4 days while she and hubby take a little holiday.

Cyndi - I really appreciate the thread that you started. It will help me and so many others.
take care
Sophie
