Mrs. B,
Maybe it's the way you read it, but I think that Cyndi's post WAS supportive. Like the rest of us, I'm sure she just wants you to be successful. A little "bite" of a no-no such as white pasta can "set you off" to crave later on since it digests so quickly and can produce sugar in the body. Everything in phase one is to detox you. Just like with drugs, (and for many of us, our drug of choice is sugar and white flour) you have to stay completely away from that stuff or it will start the cycle over again. Believe me when I say we all just want you happy and healthy! |
Good afternoon! I am doing much better today then I was yesterday. I was in a foul mood yesterday (overly tired and stressed). I am very proud of myself though, I resisted a handful of Skittles that were screaming at me. I opted for the sf gum instead.
LOTS of laundry on the agenda for today and taking the boys outside for a bit again. Gotta love the warm weather. Cat - Mmmm! Those green beans sound yummy! Sorry your dinner got moved...now you have more time to prep! WOW Cyndi! You have been busy. Want to send some of that energy over here? |

Mrs. B:
Please don't stop posting. I know it's tough getting used to the South Beach way of life and not feeling supported. You've definitely come to the right place for support, advice and yes, sometimes something we may not want to hear. We've all been where you are and some of us will probably slip back from time to time. As a matter of fat, I'm on the last stretch of re-starting Phase 1. As you can see, we want you to be here so keep typing away. |
Hi Chickies,
I been MIA for a few days. Two years ago I had a bout of vertigo which happened right after a colonoscopy, (which by the way was a very bad experience for me - I lost 12lbs in three days). After that my dr. sent me for a whole battery of tests and vertigo was the conclusion. So I go to bed on Wednesday feeling fine and in the middle of the night when I turned to my right the whole room started spinning, its an awful sensation because you also get nauseous. Its still with me and I hesitate going to the drs because she will have me going thru tests again but I'm giving it till Tuesday and then will go. I had committed myself to having a garage sale and that took place on Sat. morning but I cut it short by two hours, sold quite a bit of stuff. take care Sophie |
Sophie - I had a bout of that a few years ago. The doc thought it was a virus that settled in my inner ear. No other symptoms except that. It was not a fun time. I hope your world is settling back into place.

Thanks Cyndi for understanding. My hubby doesn't understand why I get all hysterical. The first time it happened I insisted on him calling an ambulance and taking me to the hospital, I thought I was having a stroke. My mom had a stroke at 58, she lost her speech and the use of her right hand. I watched her suffer for 5 years.
take care Sophie |
Hello all, sorry I have been MIA but I have been glued to my BB as I have been oncall this weekend. Last night it went off several times during the night with issues I had to deal with, so the last thing I wanted to do was get on the computer.
Sounds like everyone has been having a productive and fun weekend. Mrs. B if you are still reading please don't get offended, Cyndi was trying to be supportive as most of us have gone op plenty. As my scale is testify I am having a difficult time lately staying op and when I read these posts I look at them as ways to keep me on track or get back on track even when not directed at me. Like Anne said we all need a kick in the behind once in awhile to get back on track. Just my two cents worth. I will try to post this week to keep myself accountable to stay ontrack, we are leaving for California on Friday morning so I will be MIA again til August 4th |
