Phase I eating at Wendys

I am on Day 4 of Phase I and am going to Wendy's for lunch. I was thinking of ordering the Southwest Taco Salad and not eating the tortilla strips and picking off the cheese. But I was wondering about the dressing; here are the ingredients:

Ancho Chipotle Ranch Dressing
Buttermilk, Soybean Oil, Water, Sour Cream (skim milk, cream, whey, modified corn starch, sodium phosphate, guar gum, carrageenan, sodium citrate, locust bean gum), Distilled Vinegar, Chili Peppers, Sugar, Egg Yolk, Salt, Garlic Juice, Buttermilk Powder (buttermilk, whey), Modified Corn Starch, Garlic (dehydrated), Chipotle Peppers, Onion (dehydrated), Natural Flavors (including smoke flavor), Xanthan Gum, Ancho Peppers (dehydrated), Spices, Lactic Acid, Jalapeno Peppers (dehydrated). CONTAINS: EGG, MILK.

Do you think this is an acceptable dressing? Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks!

The sugar in the dressing may trigger cravings...

I usually go for the Chili and a small caesar salad (no croutons) at Wendy's, which are both phase I friendly.

Their website says there's only 2 Gms of sugar in the dressing so it should be OK. (South Beach compliant dressings should have 3 or less Gms sugar.)

Wendy's

Thanks for the suggestions guys! It would probably be easier on my wallet just to get the chili and the Caeser side salad anyway. :)

Lita, you can have any dressing that has 3g or less of sugar. I've never had trouble with this one, though I wonder about the chili being safe for Phase 1.

People have told me that the chili is safe for Phase 1, but I have to say that after seeing the ingredients, I can't imagine why. Personally, I'd avoid eating out at all during Phase 1. If you have to, try to go to a salad bar where you can pick the ingredients and bring your own dressing. Even then, it can cause problems, because you just don't know what's in things. It's easy to eat out in Phase 2, but in Phase 1, it just isn't worth the risk, IMHO.

I take my dressing with me in a small container.

You can always ask for a different dressing too.
