:lol3: You have a good point, though, Chelby! I do find it to be true that my friends who are naturally skinny often eat until they are satisfied and then stop. (forgetting meals regularly, however, can set you up for some major metabolism problems...so you won't stay skinny for long...though it does seem to be something realllllly skinny people brag about. ;) ) Like the leader of Weigh Down once asked, "Who among us would get through half a candy bar and throw the rest away because we were satisfied?" The skinny people! They do (I remember my tiny best friend doing this on several occasions with food that I would have gladly consumed for her...).
I do think that if I could learn to stop when I'm satisfied, I'll have beat the majority of my addiction to food. Of course, much of the time I keep eating because it feels good at the time, not because I'm still hungry. So there's emotional stuff to work on in order to learn to be better satisfied. Have any of you read Geneen Roth's When Food is Love? I think it deals with this issue very well.
