Are you thinking of tonnato sauce? The traditional recipe is not very diet-friendly and usually served over veal. Eww on that one...veal & tuna never seemed to be a good paring to me. LOL
Traditional Tonnato Sauce
1 (10 oz.) can water packed tuna
1/2 c. mayonnaise
12 lg. pitted black olives, sliced
3 tbsp. capers, drained
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tbsp. minced parsley
Tomato Tonnato
3 green onions, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tbsp minced fresh dill
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
3 tomatoes, diced
1/4 cup sliced pitted black olives
1 can (6 oz/170 g) water-packed tuna, drained
Well, I know you didn't ask for a recipe (and this may not even be what you are talking about) but now I want some too!
