I'll take some frozen fillets, place them into a baking dish and put several heaping tablespoons of mango salsa on top. Leave it until mostly defrosted and then bake at 350 until done. Easy and tasty. :)

Well i made an almond crusted tialpia last night it was a little fishy tasting which is why i've avoided fish in the past is there another kind of fish that doesnt have that taste i thought tialpia was one of them i can eat tuna but thats about all i can handle

Hmmmmm, fish that doesn't taste like fish....

Beef.

LOL

Only kidding. I don't know of any fish that doesn't taste like fish. I thought tuna was one of the strongest ones out there, but I happen to think sashimi is the best thing on the planet.

Like Jim Gaffigan once said, if you like fish that isn't fishy tasting...you don't like fish ;)

Tilapia is hit or miss for me, especially the frozen kind. When I get it fresh from the fish monger, it is almost never fishy tasting. If you get fresh fish, smell it before purchasing - if it smells like fish, don't get it. It should smell like the sea

My favorite way to make tilapia is on the grill. I use a fish pan because they are flaky and fall apart easily. Spray the fillets with olive oil and then season with either lemon pepper or a cajun seasoning and grill both sides. Very tasty!

My family used to own a fish farm and we would have fresh tilapia all the time. All we did was drizzle it with some citrus, stuff it with chopped tomatoes and onions, then cook it near the fire. It was dellicious. Really fresh tilapia has delicate savory, almost buttery, flavor.

The second best option is this recipe. Spread chopped onions, tomatoes and cilantro in a baking pan. Place the tilapia on top of the veggies, sprinkle salt and pepper. Add a splash of olive oil on top (frozen tilapia fillets are not as fatty as fresh). Broil for 20 minutes.

I really don't care for fish (and haven't had it since the summer/fall because I can't grill it), but I do like tuna and swordfish. To me, it's the fishy oily taste as much as the texture. I experimented a lot last summer after being on SBD, and mahi mahi was okay too. Tilapia....eh. I'd eat if I had to.

Good luck!

I make an herb butter (margarine) and put a teaspoon on with some Mrs. Dash. Yummy

I like to bake tilapia seasoned with Emeril's Essence (sold in the spice section) at 350 for 45 minutes! Very tasty!
