Really freaking proud of myself...

I'm on Day 6 of Phase I and I've really stuck to the plan. The worst I've done is eat too many raw almonds one day and then last night because I didn't really eat dinner I ended up eating too many peanuts and 3 Fudgesicles througout the night. I also had cucumbers and hummus but I was ravenous last night and almost everything made me want to gag.

Then this morning, I weighed myself and there was no change from the day before. I was a little annoyed since i had seen even a small drop every day prior. We went out to breakfast and I can't tell you how much I wanted a stack of pancakes or some french toast. The little nagging voice in my head kept saying, "Who cares? It's one treat of a meal. Just go ahead. YOu can be good the rest of the day." But you know what? I didn't do it. I ordered eggs with ham, broccoli and mushrooms. No hash browns and no toast. A cup of coffee and lots of water.

This is a MAJOR thing for me and I'm really happy I did it. I know I have 8 more days to go but I feel like I can really do this.

Way To GO! That is definitely a reason to celebrate!

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

POM -- Good for YOU!!! It's hard staying on plan in a restaurant, especially when no one else is. You can do it for 8 more days! When you have a sweet potato on phase 2, you'll think you're eating candy, syrup and sugar! It's better than a treat! :)

Way to go!! I know how hard it is. I'm on Day 7 of Phase 1 and it hasn't been easy with going out to the movies and then being with people eating Takeout Chinese food in front of me - pure torture!! :)

Congratulations Mompom! You are doing so well. Don't you feel so good about yourself?

That is wonderful! I really think the 'choice' victories are at least as significant if not more so than the 'weight' victories. A couple of pounds can come or go for any reason, but once you've made a positive choice that knowledge and power stays with you forever. Way to go!

I agree. The battle of choices is just a huge as the battle with my weight. I just feel like every time I make the right choice I am one step closer. Even if I don't lose weight I can still say that I did the best that I could (aside from the extra nuts. lol).

:yay: Great work, MomPom! :yay:

I think that like what Dr. A says about staving off a blood sugar drop (that it's easier to stave one off by eating every 3 or so hours than it is to deal with one once it happens and you want to eat everything in sight) that it's much easier to deal with temptations when your last meal was a good, healthy, filling one that's OP. The fact that you resisted when you didn't have that under your belt is fantastic! Go, MomPom! :hat:
