As for me- so glad that it is Friday it has been a crazy week at work- busy weekend- have to take DS truck to get alittle thing fixed tomorrow since we are in the process of selling his truck- then we have to start looking for a small reliable car for him. Will be busy running the kids around. DD1 last indoor socceer game is tonight so have to go to that.

Hi Gonna, thanks for your concern. She is playing a waiting game right now. She had an MRI over a week ago which showed a 2" mass in her kidney, and since then she has been waiting for the pictures to get to her nephrologist at John's Hopkins so he can make the surgery call. Can you believe they snail-mailed those pictures and he hasn't received them yet? It boggles my mind. We are thinking of you too. Is the baby girl okay?

Me - OK, last night's dinner was fantastic, so easy and YUMMY!!!! I'm posting a pic (thanks for the idea, Jenn) in the dinner thread. Let me know if you want details. Glad to be through the Americal Idol try-outs, can't wait for next week. Tonight dh and i are most likely going to see The Wrestler or Doubt. Not sure what we'll do for dinner. I'll be up early in the morning to volunteer at the USO, and then we're getting ready for the Superbowl. Should be a fun weekend!!!!

Schood -- LMAO. I made sure i was done by 2p just in case she arrived early. I think last time I taught her a lesson about lying where she was on the road! She drove down here (braless time) from Maine (10 hours) with my SIL on her way to Disney FL for a month where she camps! Then, she stops back up on the way (this time for two days) with her friend (so she always has someone to drive with!)

We made it. It's not a long drive but there were birding stops along the way. The view from our room is amazing. I've attached pictures, takes 2 because it's such a big view ;)

I thought we had ironed some things out and were working through them. Actually the last two weeks I thought went rather well! That is, until just before five today. Ann pulled me into her office and, yes, you guessed it, let me go. She came up with excuses, but I think it still stemmed on a couple weeks ago when we got into that disagreement.

You know, I'm alright with it. I truly did like the job, but I did find her too overbearing and too much of a "controll"er. There's a reason she can't keep someone in this position! She's been here 8 years, and she's gone through over a dozen people at this desk! One of which managed to last over 2 years! She right out lies about things, which is something I had a hard time with. She didn't explain herself too well and I had to constantly ask questions in such a way to get her to reword what she was saying. AND, if I even as much moved, to go to the bathroom or get a drink, she was making comments like "I thought you went home". Let's not talk about how she would discuss her daughter's head lice! How grotesque! Not just with those here in the office, but with everyone that she talked with, representatives of companies, field guys, etc! And her daughter had it a month ago and came home with it last week... and if she gave it to me I'll be pissed!

One thing I wont miss, is having to come home and wash everything cause it smells like smoke!

I learned quite a bit there, and while I liked my job, who needs a boss like her? good luck to her on finding a person that is willing to deal with her!

So looks like I will be able to visit between my inputs of my resume!

Lori - I'm so sorry. Mostly due to the fact that you're going to have to wait again for insurance. I hope you find something soon. Good luck!

Oh, Loriann! :( I am sorry to hear that she let you go, and apparently for no good reason, too. Just remember, "What goes around, comes around", and she'l get her due sooner or later. For you, it's a chance to move on and fulfill higher hopes, better goals, and greater challenges. :hug:

HEATHER, I'm thinking to see if I can get medicaid, but not sure. I think I make too much on unemployment? LOL... YUP, I tried last time, they told me no.

Cottage, well, she said she needed someone who understood excel better. She was impressed with how I caught on to certified payroll... which is 90 percent of the job! as I stated, I believe it has more to do with our argument and her not liking the fact that I stood up to her (in a nice way).

As for what goes around,... well...while I agree with that I hope the very best for her... I truly hope they find someone to fill the position (I think they already have, and I believe his name is steven)... that will be a good fit! That will be able to deal with her "micro" managing demeaning ways.

I truly have no hard feelings toward her or the company, I do like everyone there.

Lori- everything happens for a reason... something to suit you better will come along!

Sorry I have been MIA for a bit but I just got back from VEGAS! Had a great Birthday there and am not quite ready to be home!!! lolHad to go right back to work this morning, boring day. No time for personals today, actually probably till Sunday as I work tomorrow as well- so much to catch up on the house as well!!! Off to finish up dinner and the grocery list then it is off to the store~! Hope everyone has a great day!!!

not much time right now. Trying to get ds bathed and dinner for dh and i ready all while feeding ds2 at the same time. oy.

it's been a tough week for my family -- my dad, uncle and two of my cousins were laid off. My dad was 8 mos. from retirement. I wish DH was finished with law school and we weren't living on such a tight budget, I would like to be able to provide a little financial assistance to my parents. Maybe we can tweak our budget a bit.
