No Kara to get us in line for 2009, so I thought I'd step in.
Any resolutions you want to post?
Here are mine for 2008, along with progress report:
1. De-clutter and organize my summer kitchen, attics, garage, basement, and office. I did the summer kitchen twice actually. It's in good shape now. The office and basement are 75% complete. Attics and garage I haven't touched.
2. Get on an exercise program and learn to love it (thanks, little chick, for the second part). I did great the first 9 months of the year, totally bombed the last three months
3. Get our budget in shape. I don't have any serious debt to deal with, thank goodness, but I've let things get a little loose in the money management department. Some progress here. No debt except for mortgage. I still want to get a good monthly budget going. It should be easier in 2009 because DH will be starting a new job with regular paychecks in stead of six irregular big paychecks throughout the year.
4. Get enough of the house renovations done that I can get my dining room table out of storage and have the family for Thanksgiving dinner next year. No progress at all. I will drop this one for 2009. I've decided not to do the renovation until I can pay cash and I don't think that will be until the following year, sigh.
5. Get my PESOH certification and PFS certification (work-related). The only one I actually completed!!!
6. Reach 100 lbs. lost goal. Nope. I did lose 25 lbs in 2008 though.
Not stellar, but there's progress there and I will be happy about that!
So, for 2009 there's really not much new:
1. Finish decluttering and organizing the house.
2. Make a monthly budget. Start saving toward the renovations.
3. Get back on an exercise program and learn to love it.
4. Finish the weight loss phase already and start maintenance.
5. Take the family to France to visit DH's family.
ETA: I found the 2008 thread with our resolutions just in case some of you (like me) forgot what we resolved to do in the first place! Here it is!!
1. Get A's & B's in all classes I take this year. Not quite; I got A's in Ed. Tech and Elem. Arts, but a C in Calculus.
2. Continue to build up my minutes per day for working out. I did work out much more consistently than ever before, but not enough. Will work on it again in 2009.
3. Get aggressive about saving money and paying off our debt Have $1000 in money market account for emergency fund, have not used credit since Dec. 31, 2007 (we actually don't have ANY credit cards any more), and have paid off approx. $18,350 in debt since January! Woohoo!
Now, for this year's resolutions:
1. Grow in my relationship with God and our church family.
2. Follow Jason's weight loss plan for me for at least 31 days...continue it as long as it works for us.
3. Build a shed in the back yard by May.
4. Declutter, declutter, declutter!
5. Continue on our journey towards financial peace. We're currently scheduled to pay off all consumer debt by Feb. 2010; we want to see if we can do it by Dec. 2009!!
6. Pass my Level 3 Registered Professional Appraiser Exam with FLYING COLORS in February.

Looks like I didn't post in last year's. Probably too much going on.
1. Get the divorce final (almost a year since it was filed)
2. Get back on track losing weight again
3. Declutter the house
4. Clean and organize the garage
5. Take a vacation somewhere if Brian goes to his Dad for month in the summer
6. Find a replacement Camp Director to train this year
7. Get as many house repairs/improvements done as I can afford
8. Start exercising regularly again
I did not post in last year's but here are a quick few:
1. End the year at a lower and healthier weight than I started (better than a number and feeling like a big fat failure)
2. Start walking 2 miles a day (accomplished by commuting instead of driving to work)
3. Get to FL for my birthday (October) and SAVE the money to do it (no credit!)
4. Read 15 books.
5. Buy a new filing cabinet big enough for the two of us and declutter/re-file all our important documents (and know exactly where they are!)
6. See a lawyer about same-sex couple stuff (wills, next of kin, etc.)
I haven't even thought about my New Years resolutions until now. Besides the general reach my goal weight that is. Okay here goes:
1) Reach my goal weight (had to add it!)
2) Find a new workout routine that I will stick to.
3) Start my Masters
4) Find a new job
5) Really clean my house & improve our landscaping
6) Save some money & pay off my credit cards.
1. get all A's my last 3 semesters of undergrad
2. get a 30 (or above!) on the MCAT
3. get accepted to medical school
4. get back to my normal size (pre-college weight gain) :
5. keep in better touch with friends and family who live far away
6. work out on a regular basis... and love it!
1. Get my debt under control and better managed. Payoff all major credit cards until only 3 remain.
2. Get under 200 pounds using SBD!
3. Do at least 1000 minutes of exercise per month.
4. Keep my house as decluttered as possible (no way to quantify this one!)
5. Obtain a new certification for work this year (i'm not sure which yet).
I didn't do this last year but I'm feeling more confident in my ability to follow through these days (and there are already so many good ideas to borrow from!).
1. Keep my weight below the dreaded red line
2. Include yoga and weights twice a week in workout schedule
3. Explore Eat for Life plan and other diet options to decrease inflammation
4. Go on a 20 mile bike ride by the end of the summer
5. Declutter & rearrange!! Complete one room by the end of each even numbered month.
6. Jenn I'm going to borrow yours because we keep putting off the legal stuff too. Start legal paperwork
7. Create a household budget and stick to it
Cottage - you have said it for me
1. pray more, worry less.
2. stash reduction. I look at all my yarns and beads and think my kids will have one **** of a garage sale.
3. reach my goal, simply to be healthy and active. Its not for a certain function or trip but a life time committment.
4. find more me time.
Sophie
1. Learn to say NO more. Stop over extending myself.
2. Finally see ONDERLAND, for the first time since college!!
3. Continue working on making myself a priority.
4. Take a girls-only trip to somewhere warm and tropical, where I can pamper myself with massages and a good book!
5. Get back to working out at least 5 days a week/most weeks.
6. Spend more time with the kids being silly and getting down on the floor to play with toys. They are growing up too fast! Need to cash in on this now while they still want Mom to play with them!
7. Finally finish the landscaping out front!!
I don't usually do resolutions, but I do have one for 2009.
Take my Ethics class and sit for the CPA exam. It's the only thing I need. I am aiming for this year because my son starts kindergarden in August, and I know we will be busy with school stuff.
