  • Well, good news and bad news. The good news is, they'll give us enough to pay our rent each month. The bad news is, they're taking the rest. As for getting a seasonal job, I just started Mary Kay week before last, and my evenings are completely booked, so I'm working from 9am-8pm. Tom goes to school during the day and picks up Little Guy when he's done at 5:30.

Thank God that they'll give us the rent money. I'm still taking a mental health day. My nerves are SHOT.
  • Prayers for you and your family, Weezle.
  • Lisa, I just lit a pine scented candle for you to help you on your mental health day!
  • Weezle..my prayers and good wishes go to you and your family. Just remember God will not lead you to it if he is not going to help you through it. This too shall pass. Keep your head up and try to stay postive!
  • Thanks for the prayers, well-wishes, and pine-scented candles lit, girls. I do feel a bit better now, with a little time to sit and think. I got a decent amount of money for a facial I did last weekend, so I used that to open some space on the credit cards.

I also have 3-4 people willing to do web shows for me, which is nice because the hostesses (and host, thanks Daddy) just send out an email to all their girlfriends about it with my web address, and give them 24-48 hours to shop. The host/hostesses get 10% of the sales in free product (my dad's on TV daily so yes, he wears makeup) and all I have to do is check my email and send out the orders as they come in. That helps, and leaves my evenings open for facials and shows.

I have a few facials booked, still, too, and more and more girls seem interested in having a few girlfriends over for a show since it means free stuff. God has blessed me with this being a little easier than I thought it would be, and I've been successful with it so far.

Keep praying though! I never thought a) I'd even be selling Mary kay, or b) Mary Kay would actually have to be a major source of income.

Deep breaths. I still have nervous gas (like nerve gas?) but thankfully am alone in the house. God help the other Walmart Shoppers when I run to pick up milk and bread so we can eat for a few days. Speaking of eating, I need to see if there's a celery stick or something left for me to gnosh on before going, otherwise I'll have a hard time sticking to the basics.

Thanks again for everything girls. We need all the prayers we can get.
  • Positive Vibes are being sent your way!
  • That is good new about the rent Lisa- I'll be praying for you sister!
  • Lisa, glad to hear you have the rent end straightened out!
Keeping my fingers crossed that more blessings come your way!
