Jen - not really worked out...it is typical, something else is bothering him so he gets nit picky about other things. His parents are really making this family struggle and I know he's incredibly down about that, but instead of communicating about it....he shuts it all in and shuts out everyone around him until it ends in a fight.

On one hand, I wish he would come home because I'm miserable....but on the other, I'm glad he's at work...maybe he'll think about what he told me this morning and be sorry about it.

in other news - my two year old is having one of "those days"....

...I'm about ready to get a sitter and check out for a few hours.

zef - there are always good days and bad days, you just have to go with the flow.

Sophie Lord willing me and my dh will make it to 39 years only 34 more to go.

I think what keeps dh and I so happy is when it's done it's done - once you walk away or stop speaking about it is forgotten and forgiven

Zeff - find DS a favorite video and mentally check out for a bit. It will do you both some good!
We have "those days" almost everyday here!! If it isn't DS it is DD!
Our holiday plans are starting full swing this weekend. We have Santa events scheuled both Saturday and Sunday. We are haivng dinner at my mom's house with my aunt and cousins for a little early Christmas celebration!

Sophie - one of the reasons why things are so stressful around my house right now is that my in-laws are getting divorced after 39 years of marriage. They are an exceptional case, though. Congrats on your marriage lasting so long - there are definite trials to be had.

Didn't get the stuff for the goodie baskets because I realized Bulk Barn is 10% off on Wednesdays. Maybe next week because I'm too busy tomorrow to spend an hour on the road plus shopping time. :cheer:

Zeff - I have recently heard of two other couples that have been married for a long time and are getting divorced. I guess maybe they realize that the time left should be spent happier. But might be even harder on older children, young ones are so much more adaptable. I don't know if you get the comic strip For Better or for Worse, Lynn Johnston is the cartoonist. Her husband divorced her over a younger woman - she refers to it as "The Viagra Divorce"

Ruth - thanks for reminding me about 10% off at the Bulk Barn. I'm out of oatmeal and always stock up. Of course, I have to bring DH because sometimes they ask for ID.

Tonight is the Henry VIII series and I am enjoying that. Also, one of our sons brought over Rome. Its enjoyable but like all these series not quite on the right path.

My mom just called and told me that my cousin who is 22 weeks pregnant with twins was just admitted to the emergency room because her water broke. They are allowing her to continue with the labor because it was too progressed.

Unfortunately, they only think one of the two twins will survive :(

This, in addition to my friend's daughter dying two weeks ago at just a day old after an emergency surgery.

Oy....all these bad baby stories.

I'm thinking of putting DS to bed and just going to sleep. This day has been long enough. Tomorrow will be a better day.

Oh, Zeff. That's gotta be hard. I hope the cousin's babies do okay...that's pretty early. :(.
