Hi everyone, I will be starting the SB diet tomorrow and wanted to introduce myself. I am 27, married to an amazing man, and a mom to a beautiful 7 month old baby girl. I am also 236 lbs and feel absolutely disgusted with myself most of the time. I grew up with a mom who was always overweight, and always on diet and I followed in her footsteps. More then anything I want my little girl to grow up with a mom who is healthy, and energetic and confident. I hope that I can get to know some of you and we can support one another.

Post any questions you have. Be prepared for supportive tough love. Look around and visit other forums and feel free to post anywhere you have interest.

And there is a wealth of information that I am still reading through. CONGRATS on the baby and the decision to be more healthy. Welcome! I just started SBD two days ago. I know what you mean about your mom. I grew up the same way and I am watching myself follow in her footsteps. My mom lives with us and I even have the same pains that she has! I just can't do this anymore! I have a 5 year old daughter and 3 year old triplets. We have to be healthy for ourselves and so we can be good role models for them. Not to mention, running and chasing them!
You can do this! The way I look at it, I'm learning to cook healthy for myself and my family. A way of life!

hello shine27.. I am a returnee if you can call it to the sb diet.. I am 240lbs and have 3 kids.. the youngest in 7 weeks old.. before my pregnancy I had lost 40lbs on this diet over a period of 3 months and it worked wonderful for me. I am starting my diet now slowly, but after next week I will go back to phase 1. I am having surgery on the 21st and I want to be strong for it..
