Hey ladies...happy friday!!
Tonight is date #1 with the PTA (physical therapy assistant)...so at least we'll have something in common to talk about. Oh how I dislike dating!!! When the guy is talking all I hear is "blah blah blah, I'm probably telling you nothing but lies" LOL...mean, I know. We're going to a kinda kick back restaurant with a nice patio in the back...should be a nice evening for it! |
Where ya going? Brady's??? Music there tonight? The weather is beautiful so you should have a great time! Keep an open mind now! And have fun!!!
|
Dates? I know what they are, the forbidden fruit!!!!!
|
Cat...yea, we're headed to Brady's...but after that I haven't a clue. Is there anything going on downtown tonight?

Cyndi- The recipe is in the SBD book. You take frozen artichokes and drizzle them with olive oil, salt and pepper and bake them. You can also put shredded cheese on them. I didn't end up making them since I can't find frozen ones to save my *** =)
Schmoodle- I am still in Ph1- I didn't realize there was a forum for Ph1 people. (off to look) ;) |
:welcome3: mmacaskill! Sorry it's taken me so long to get to you! Yes, we have a current Phase 1 thread going, but you're also very welcome to join us here in the Daily, too. :) Those baked artichokes sound good, let us know how they turn out!
:welcome: to fireball, too, and anyone else I may have missed! Cherry, I'm so sorry to hear about the layoff, but I hope you'll find something even better before too long! |
Sometimes they also have music at Mariner's...Oh, and maybe head to the bar at Rockefeller's in Ponchy...great bar. Man, if I hadn't gone to Cate Street Station for lunch, I'd come make sure he was being nice to you tonight...(just kidding..it's the Mama in me!)

Hi everyone! I decided to spoil myself.... one thing I've learned about Mary Kay is once you find a consultant that contacts you regularly, the more things you go to, even if you don't buy anything, the more free stuff you get. I just got mineral powder foundation, a lip liner, eye liner, 3 mineral eyeshadow colors, and a compact for $18.95! HOT DIGGITY DAFFODIL! It makes me very happy. Free compact, free foundation, and a $25 gift certificate, all for getting a makeover and talking to a couple of consultants.
So as soon as I got it tonight, I put it all on. Tom keeps looking at me saying "You look like you're all ready to go out somewhere and party" but of course, it's 7:30 on a Friday night and I'm in my pajamas. I was bad tonight. :( Tom and I haven't had a date since March, and since Little Guy is out of town, we decided to go to what was once one of our favorite restaurants, back before we started living together and actually got to go on dates once in awhile. Italian, of course, with plenty of crusty bread and olive oil for dipping. We both had that, a salad, glass of white wine, and the cheese tortellini with peas and mushrooms in a creamy cheese sauce. I'm sure it was about 275g fat, but I haven't had a treat or been on a date in such a long time.... I'm sure it won't be TOO long before I can work all that fat off. Either way, I feel guilty. So there's my confession. I'll do a couple of Hail Dairy's and Our Waters and maybe then I'll be good to go. Well, time to go check the mail and snuggle into the couch with a book and some tea to try to flush out some sodium. Pleasant evening to you all! Lisa |
Weezle, ain't it fun getting makeup? I get makeup from my Aunt all the time, she sends me what she doesn't wear.. I swear she spends $20 on eyeliner from Laura Geller. She gives me that brand makeup, and Models Prefer, and smashbox cosmetics.. she must love living the high life, lol
