Where I can find some phase one menus and shopping lists other than in the book and the south beach website. I really would like some ideas on what to eat when my husband and I start up but the menu plans in the book are wayyyy too expensive because they have such varied ingredients. I need something basic. Thanks ahead of time if you have any suggestions for me.

Check out Kalyn's Kitchen.com. She has a great website with wonderful South Beach recipes. Also, just google South Beach Diet recipes or South Beach recipes, and you should find several websites.

You can also just make up your menus according to the Phase 1 foods list that we have here. You don't have to follow the meal plans that are in the book, as long as you are staying within the Phase 1 approved foods.

This board has a lot of great recipes...and if you have a recipe that isn't exactly SB friendly, just ask your "board mates". :D

I found a wiki today that has a lot of recipe ideas. The one thing about the wiki though is that a lot of the recipes don't give exact measurements.

I also get recipes from kalyn's kitchen, recipezaar, and allrecipes.
