ALERT: Backing up into P1 again!!!!

  • I've done this before because of two lbs a few weeks ago, but it looks like my weight has been fluctuating really bad and I worked my behind off moving out of my apartment which was on the third floor of a building with NO elevator so I got a lot of exercise in. I don't get it. This is how my last week looked...

    9/22 - 195
    9/23 - 194.6
    9/24 - 195
    9/25 - 192.2 ( I was really happy right here)
    9/26 - 193.2
    9/27 - 195.4
    9/28 - 196.6

    And today...1 9 7

It probably doesn't help that AF came into town yesterday too.

I am NOT happy today! I gained a total of 1.6lbs. last week. Although I couldn't eat strictly from the P2 list last week becuase of moving I counted my calories and stayed within my daily range. I guess calorie counting doesn't work for me.
  • p1 is not about weight loss.

sounds like exercise and Aunt Flow are the problem

    drink your water
eat normally and if the scale upsets you that much stay off of it a bit.

i got on this morning feeling all thin and i'm up 3 pounds from friday... oh well..,. i know i ate right, i know i moved. i know it's water and it will come off.
  • Sass, I wouldn't go two weeks, perhaps three days to kick any cravings you got, but get back into p2, remember, the transition to p2 when first starting is SLOW, ie. you dont incorporate all three fruits and all three starches at first! Just one!

    Good Luck!
  • You're up because of AF.....

As a human, and especially as a woman, our weight fluctuates by quite a bit. I'm never surprised that after a really tough workout that I'm down 10#....but after I drink water normally again...it all comes right back.

Weighing everyday is going to drive you nuts.

P1 is effective in curbing cravings, but really shouldn't be used all the time. If you're having a hard time losing and are having cravings, then do P1...but for now, just stick to P2.
  • Thank you ladies!

I will do P1 for a couple days because it will make me feel better. This is my first time acutally gaining like this during AF so I was a little thrown off and got upset.

I made it to 30lbs. lost and got so excited. Anyway, I will do P1 for a couple days and then go to back to P2. Yesterday I added in two small plums since they are in season now. I ate bread last week so I am still working in all of the foods in P2 gradually.

I'm going to have to experiement with calorie counting after AF leaves to see if I can in fact lose by doing it that way.

Oh and I have GREAT news. I fit in size MEDIUM shirts now. I'm losing my boobies...sorry for the overshare. But for those of you who know me know that I have boobie issues.
  • SBD Sass – are you sore from moving? When muscles are over extended part of the “repair” process they need to retain water too. So you may not just be retaining water for AF but also for muscle repair. That may have some bearing on why you would be retaining more then typical. Just give yourself a little time to recover from everything that is going on right now.
  • SBDSass, you can do it and you've done great so far. I wouldn't worry about the scale going up because that happens to every single one of us everyday, even several times a day. It is exactly how Zeffryn said it. Women's weights fluctuate. That doesn't indicate that you've gained back any fat so don't worry. You'll keep progressing and doing the great job that you've been doing and you'll get there.

PS Kudos to you for your exercise. I think you're doing an amazing job. EofAz also has a great point about retaining water from the repair process.

Congratulations on fitting in Medium shirts!
  • OK so I'm thinking it was AF (like you guys said) because I'm down to 195.4 today from that pesky 197 I was yesterday.

I really want to see that 192 again! I miss it.

    Thanks again guys!
