Raisins

  • Are they legal for Ph 2 or 3? I know I'm on 1 but I've been craving them likek mad
I have vit deficiencies so I'm off to google what craving them means
I know Some ppl use NSA cranberries
    Just checking
  • arg Judging from the noises coming from my tummy It was not craving raisins!
So I won't be enjoying them for quite some time
  • no the GI on them is too high....
  • I try to be really careful with dried fruit because the pieces are so tiny that it's way to easy to eat too many. Think volumetrics and visualize 20 grapes beside 20 raisins!
  • I use some dried fruit, esp in the oatmeal breakfast bars, and on salads sometimes, but I have stayed clear of raisins, for some reason they scare me. Maybe I read somewhere that they had a high GI, but I have heard them called sugar bombs and that stuck with me. Usually I use dried unsweetened cherries or apricots.
  • Occasional raisin eater here. I don't like raisins in anything, but occasionally like a few to eat. DH likes to make his own healthier version of Raisin Bran by using a Flax multi-grain, high-fiber cereal flake and adding in a few raisins. I get the jumbo tri-colored mix from TJ's.

Mostly the only dried fruits I use are in the steel cut oats crockpot recipe. Then, my favorite is dried pears.
  • ooh those sound good! thanks for the input ladies
  • Dried unsweetened cherries or cranberries are my thing.

Are you anemic or vitamin b deficient?
  • I am both actually! I have prescription Iron and I need to get a new B12 and B complex
