Hey all. Had to LOL at the last 2-3 pgs. of yesterday's chat this morning. Wanna talk about bras? Apparently as baby has grown so has under my bust or whatever...all of a sudden my bra is painfully tight. It's insane! And we don't even want to talk about how big the girls are...thinking of my milk coming in makes me want to cry a little.

Cyndi, Do your parents live in VA Beach? I grew up in Richmond and I still miss it! It's nice to be somewhere different but I am hoping next year we'll be moving back to the East Coast somewhere. Mom and Dad (both sides) live near Cottage up there in PA and they would love it if DH could find a job near them. But since he's looking for a college professor job in his field we will have to go where he can find one.

Gah...I have gotten next to nothing done this morning. And I have meetings from lunch all the way through the afternoon. Yuck!

Good morning Ladies! Happy Thursday!
Cat - I'm so sorry to hear that you have to wait so long before you get a break. That's a really long time to be in the classroom, without a break, at that age. What time does school start? Good job planning and packing. Congrats on the size "small". AWESOME!

Cottage - Have fun with the girls today! Be good with the food porn!

Ruth - So happy to hear that you think you've figured out what's up with Hershey. I hope the treatment is relatively easy and fast acting. Funny you should mention an herb garden. I'm going to be picking up some herb starter plants for me to plant this coming Monday. I might be inclined to be asking for some help in the near future.

Cyndi - Welcome back! Sorry to hear that you're now seeing your parents in a different way.....I'm so not looking forward to that when my mom starts to get frail. I simply can't imagine. Here's to hoping you're productive today with your TO DO list.

Twynnb - Enjoy your new subscription!

Loriann - So sorry to hear that you're son is not making smart decisions. I'll pray for clarity for him and peace for you. I hope everything turns out alright.

Autumnrose - Good luck with the cleaning!

Belle Mer - OK...so does your puppy do what mine do.....You're on the computer and suddenly they're at your feet with a toy to throw. You throw it once and then twice and then before you know it it's a 10 min. fetch session. Silly pups, mine have become obsessed with the Kong I bought them. Good luck writing today.

Nessa - Good luck getting everything done today!

Pearlrose -

Schmoodle - The story about your ds is precious! Too funny....LOL funny! Poor guy, he must love being on summer break!

KO - Good job not going out for dinner! And congrats on the NSV! Great Job!

Gonna - Have fun at softball tonight!

Me - OK...so Sears is my new favorite store. Went yesterday because they're having a FANTASTIC SALE (all clearance 40% off the marked price) and found 3 new pairs of capris (all size 20!!!! AND 5.99 each!!!!!) and the two shirts I also found were size 16/18!!!! I know that most store's sizes aren't like that.....but I LOVE SEARS!!!! Very fun! So I officially retired a few pairs of pants yesterday. Feels good.
Today I'm scrapping with my good friend, not to exciting, but it will be good to continue to work on my book. It's a never ending task.

Melanie - Hey, you live in NC....when it gets closer to the end of next week, can I pm you and get a weather report, since dh and I will be headed out your way?

Have a great day, ladies!!!
ENJOY!

Jessie - I missed you! Good morning...I hope you're able to find more comfortable bras when you're nursing!

KO 08-14-2008 11:00 AM

Jessie My Mom Lives in NE PA! Move there. . that's where we're thinking of moving! and tons of Unis

Fat Melanie 08-14-2008 11:52 AM

Hcmacneil, I would be glad to give you a weather report whenever you need it. My BF insists upon watching the weather a minimum of twice daily so I always stay up to date.

zeffryn 08-14-2008 12:03 PM

Hey, everyone! Just stopping by quick to say hello....

Thanks to whomever turned me on to Stephenie Meyer's saga......I'm halfway through the 4th book (I started the first book on the 4th of Aug.). They are absolutely fantastic and such a great vacation read.

Hope everyone is having a great day! More later....

If your going to sears after every ten pounds your gonna be broke!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Fat Melanie 08-14-2008 12:29 PM

So do I, my clothes are baggy, these black pants I had during the latter stages of my pregnancy now practically hang off of me so I have been wearing them as pajama pants along with t shirts that used to be a bit snug around my hips and now are baggy! (*does a little dance*) Plus some of my more tighter daytime shirts look great, as in I may be overweight but still have a shape, yay! During pregnancy I wasn't sure anymore.

So I hope everyone is doing really well.

Okay, so now I'm really confused because I can't remember if the two lbs I've lost recently, from 195-193, were in the last week of July or the first week of August. I have to go backtrack what weight I was in the beginning of July. The reason why this is important is to make sure I accurately reach my 5lb goal this month.

So today we are getting one of those small digital recorders so we can get BF's mom on tape admitting to some of the crap that she's pulled over the past couple of years. He finally got the motion to intervene and the complaint papers yesterday and OMG, it's such a bunch of bull! For example, it states that "the plaintiff and defendant cannot physically and financially take care of the minor child." Well that's really odd, really it is, when said Plaintiff and Defendant both have children with other people who are living with them in their respective homes and are PERFECTLY FINE! He confronted her on the phone the day before last because she had stopped and tried to harass him at work, and asked her why she was doing this, and she kept claiming it is in his daughter's best interest to remain with her (what she really means is, it's in HER best interest to keep the daughter) and that she's not worried about Liam because he and I are taking care of him (hah, I knew BF's brother was a spy but I'll forgive it since he does love his nephew and he is only going back and giving that b*tch good reports), and she said she doesn't feel it's in the daughter's best interests to grow up with her siblings!!!

That just makes NO sense whatsoever and a smart judge can see right through that BS. A smart judge can see that she has no real strong reasons that it is in the daughter's best interest to grow apart from her siblings and parents, and that she really just wants her for herself.

Yeah, so, we finally found a lawyer who not only actually answered the phone HIMSELF, but who said that they will definitely win and that he's not afraid to take the case.... but then he revealed his insane price. BF politely declined. I mean, we could qualify for legalaid if that evil woman hadn't been there first. So yes we pay our bills but affording a lawyer? Forget about it. He talked to another one on the phone who wants to meet him on Tuesday (presumably for free, the man said nothing about a consultation fee so let's cross our fingers) and the man said that he would charge $2500, something less expensive than the other lawyers want, but still something impossible to come up with in a month! The court date is september 15th. And that is ex-wife's due date! So the lawyer told BF for him to show up in court and request a continuance since he does not yet have legal counsel. In the meanwhile this particular lawyer said he would take payments until the fee was paid off, but wouldn't make an appearance in court until he had the full amount. HOWEVER, he would go over the papers and such. OUR LUCKY BREAK! Not just that, but then BF's dear friend and part-time boss told him not to worry about a thing because that lawyer was gonna be paid for. BF can work it off later.

THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!

So I'm hoping my plan involving the tape recorder works, he can go to her house, question her, hope to get some contradicting answers on tape, and then on monday when he goes to get his money back from his ex lawyer, he can also question him with the hidden tape recorder and when the lawyer says the reason why he didn't take it back to court is because of BF's mother, well then we've got them both, and that shady lawyer can get disbarred.

Hah.

Fat Melanie 08-14-2008 12:31 PM

Why in the world is it when, I only intend on writing a short summary of stuff that is going on, I still manage to write a novel?? Sorry guys, I'm just worked up and bothered! (Umm, not hot and bothered, heh. Got a really bad headache!)

That is why I want to go where they are having such a great sale ;) . - Right now I have no pants at all that fit, two skorts that are hanging off of me, and two shirts I can wear for every day. - two dresses. that's it. the physical change I have experienced is not really reflected on the scale, I guess b/c I have been working out so much.

Loriann7 08-14-2008 12:34 PM

Mel, I'm confused... why does gramma have the child anyway?

beachgal 08-14-2008 12:37 PM

Woweeeee--the chicks are up an' chirpin'! You all get up SO early!

I typed the above just before my coworkers came in for a tour and training...didn't get a chance to post! Sorry no personals today--but I hope everyone has a great one.

Busy here--lots of stuff to do before the school year starts. Off to the gym after work, per usual, but am hoping to drag DH back to the gym with me later on--I'll do a yoga class (maybe he'll join me, or he'll do his normal work out). I planned grilled chicken tonight for dinner without remembering to add chicken to the list. So at some point, I'm going to have to go get some! Oh well!

Have a great day, chickies! :beach:

The grandmother would constantly interfere in her son's marriage, to the point of accusing his wife of abuse and neglect and had social services involved. This led to great strain on the marriage especially when the wife felt like BF was not defending her adequately against his domineering mom, and just wanted him to uh, get off the uh, mammary gland so to speak. The wife left twice, came back tried to make it work, but Grandmother just wasn't having it. It got to the point where the wife was sick of the grandmother's intereference and accusations and left for good, filing for custody of the daughter, and my BF filed a counterclaim for full custody of the daughter. In court BF was pretty distraught b/c his wife had left him and took his daughter, he felt that men don't get fair shakes in the courtroom, and thought he would lose his daughter for good. He had his mother as a witness and she did most of the talking, telling lies about his ex wife (such as she was abusive, neglectful and would sleep all day and not take care of the baby and that she and everyone else was taking care of her, and she was lazy and didn't wanna work or clean, and blah blah blah, and neglected to tell the judge how the social services case on the ex wife was closed out!) and my Bf was just a wreck on the witness stand from all I have heard, and the judge gave temporary custody of the daughter to bf's mother, something which is pretty rare unless the grandmother had filed a motion to intervene between them at that time which she did not, she actually came to court to help her son gain custody out of spite for her daughter in law. The judge felt it would be in the child's best interest for the grandmother to have her for a month because of the conflict between the parties and ordered them to attend a psychological evaluation. But it's dragged on and on.

Now she has filed said motion to intervene for full custody after keeping it from going back to court the past 3 years.

Oh sorry, I went off and rambled, but yeah, that's why that evil ... creature... has the daughter at this time. And that woman started the same stuff with me and BF right before my child was born, like I was lazy, didn't clean, didn't wanna work, blah blah blah, and then when my child was born, suddenly I was sleeping all day and not taking care of the baby, and etc etc etc... and a sort of lightbulb just went off in BF's head... heh, because he knew damn well I was taking care of my son day and night!

Again, sorry I rambled when the answer to your question could have been more simple... but urggh, it's just such a mess of a situation and I know I am not a party to this action but I feel it every bit as much as it it were happening to me because that is my child's father and that is his daughter and my son deserves to grow up with that child. And I'm so scared that evil biatche will be after my son next.
