Morning Ladies, Happy Weekend!
Cottage - Glad to hear that the rain lifted and that you'll be able to get out and get some of those plants in the garden.

Gonnabe - Enjoy your bike ride. My dh never learned how to ride a bike, so that's something we could never do, so I'm a bit envious. Have a great weekend!

Ruth - Sorry to hear that you're dragging, but the plant sale sounds like lots of fun. We have a similar thing out here at the arboretum at a local college. It's a little crazy. I hope everyone is kind to you!

Cyndi - So cool that you get to share your passion of gardening w/ people AND young ones. That's got to be a lot of fun. I actually thought about you the other night while I was at work. We have this GIANT bird of paridse that has become the home of a lot of birds. It's fun to watch them fly in and out, and they have such a beatiful song. They're sweet birds w/ red heads. It's a nice treat at work. I've wondered what they are, but that's as far as my curiosity has gone. But I did think.....If Cyndi were here, she'd know :) Anyhow....have a good one!

TwynnB - Have a great day with your kids.....how fun, gardening together. That's great!

Cat - OK....so jealous of your garden. I LOVE garden veggies, but I have only a little patio that has no where to plant anything. I've tried to do an herb garden in the past, but it's never worked out (but both times have been in a strawberry pot w/ starter plants). Maybe I'll post in the next month about hints on starting one again. Enjoy those veggies!!!

Barb - Have fun at the Soutt Event. I'm sure it'll keep you plenty busy.

Nessa - Sorry things are achy and sore. Enjoy your time with your friends this evening. Are you playing Mexican Train w/ dominoes or are you playing "The Train Game" where you create train routes & such. My dh and I love board games!

Schmoodle - After the USO, it sounds like you and I are going to have a similar day. I'm gorcery shopping and cooking for the upcoming week. You've inspired me to try to get in a WATP......we'll see how my energy is doing later in the day.

Kim - Shopping....FUN! I love to shop and I know you're getting stuff that's smaller. Fun for you! Enjoy your bbq & shows. What shows do you guys watch together? Dh and I have our couple of show that we both enjoy (House, Lost, Heroes) it's fun to have time that belongs to just the 2 of us!

So, I actually started this thread about an hour and a half ago. Things got really busy here at the USO, which is nice for a change. Today I've got grocery shopping and cooking to do. Inspired by Schmoodle, I'm going to try to get a WATP in. And then tonight we're headed over to friends for an asian inspired bbq & The Bachelor. Should be a good time.

And in case I don't get on tomorrow....
Happy Mother's Day!!!
ENJOY!

We had a wonderful time at the Scout Show. I probably saw 50-100 friends that I don't see often and some close friends I haven't seen in a year. Brian spent almost the whole time working at their booth. I was told he is a good crepe cooker and when I went to get him afterwards he was scrubbing dishes and really enjoying himself.

It is 88 degrees and humid here. The pool water is actually about 79. My registrar, Pam, and her son are coming over to process paperwork so they are bringing their suits and we'll let the kids swim while we work and then we can join them. Or maybe we'll play hooky first and swim and then work. Either way it should be a lot of fun and a nice break.

Quickie post this morning as I intend to treat myself to a Mother's Day soak in the tub before I go to Church. After that, it'll be a visit to Harry and then we are off to a noonish BBQ at my son's in-laws place. I've not seen my GD Tayler since Christmas so am really looking forward to it.

A glorious May day is unfolding out there. The loons are flying over and my crabapple is scenting the air. Sigh! I adore Spring!

Have a super MD, Beachies.

Happy Mother's day, all!! Hope you have a great and peaceful day!

It's kind of dreary here...hope it doesn't rain for my son's "big day".

I ran over to the mall yesterday (well, what's left of our mall..which is just two stores..the rest has been torn down as it is being redone) and found a really cute black and white polka dot halter dress to wear today. I have a nice black linen jacket to wear over it at church.

I did a big no-no yesterday evening. We really didn't feel like cooking and my son had been working on a paper all day so we decided to order pizza...I got a greek salad. I have not had a slice of "take out" pizza in over a year, so decided to eat ONE piece. big mistake...made me really sick...REALLY sick. That's the end of trying pizza..yuck. It was a "gourmet" pizza..shrimp, artichoke etc without a "red" sauce..had to be the crust..yuck again.
