Ruth: Enjoy your trip to town and to the salon. I'm like Cat, cut and dye my own hair. I'm glad Hershey let you know that it was time to get up! Stay dry and safe.

Cat: Enjoy your day and stay warm! My hair is the same way - one of the best things about living in the desert is that I don't have to deal with the humidity. Hope the schools is nice and warm.

Cottage: I hope Maggie's okay. Keep us posted, please. Enjoy your day inside!

Cyndi: Wow, I bet that a three-day weekend will make all of your hard work worth it. Enjoy your day at your desk.

Fluffy: I hope your knee and neck feel better quickly. DH and I have a theory that we didn't start falling apart after starting working out, it's just that we are now able to listen to our bodies more than we used to. Enjoy your day of rest.

Mandy: I'm so afraid of bad hairdressers, I don't thing I'd ever be brave enough to give one free reign. Have a nice day!

Natalie'sMom: I hope the rest of your day turns out better than the start you've had!

Nessa: How sweet of you to accompany your friend to her grandfather's funeral. I'm sure she will appreciate your presence.

Gonna: I hope you get out of your funk quickly. I think you should spend the day relaxing.

Me: Not much going on this morning. I was actually able to wake up early this morning and get a good workout in. Those Firm ladies are tough! They're great motivation for me, though.

Tonight is leftovers for dinner as DH will be out at his boss' ranch for a bit after work. All of his head honchos from Austin are in town and they're having a "dinner thing". The Spurs are playing tonight, so of course we have to watch that.

Well, I really need to get to work. Have a great day, ladies!

Thanks Cat & Kim I just don't know what to do with myself - I did workout lastnight even though I did not want to. Don't know if I will be working out today as we are suppose to go to lunch for bosses bday and then bowling after work so we will see. TOM is just giving me a fit this time

Nessa love your pic - your adorable

Good morning chicks, had a crazy Monday and Tuesday isn't starting off much better. I am having a mini-crisis at work due to an error in judgment, the kind of thing that could come back and bite me in the butt, but I'll just have to make the best of it and hope it all comes out alright in the end. In the meantime, some stress, on top of other stress because I've got a big meeting next week I need to be preparing for but instead am dealing with this situation. I won't go into details because it is very boring stuff, so I will spare you.
Anyway, we went to the Chinese buffet last night for DD2's birthday dinner, and I was so busy all day I didn't get to eat much and was starved. Now there's a recipe for disaster. But I think I did alright, although I ate more than I normally would have, and of course everything is too high in salt and fat. Today is about drinking lots of water, eating clean, and flushing the system! I did get my 4 mi WATP in to try and release some stress and will probably do the same today, if my phone stops ringing.
Hope you chicks are having a better one!

Good morning chicks it is cold and damp here. We are listening for flood warnings. You would not believe the water in my back yard. I can not let the kids out at all. I will take a pic later and post it. I am feeling crappy today. I have a stuffy head and a wicked cough. GRRRR. Today there is not much going on for me. I am going to do up my meal plans and do some prep work while the wee ones are all having their naps.

Ruth- have fun at the hair salon there is nothing better than being pampered.

Femme- Hope you have a great supper. You are such an inspiration.

Cottage- I hope Maggie is ok. I am sending her my thoughts and prayers. It is so scary when they get hurt.

Cindi- enjoy your day, hope it goes by fast.

Fluffy- take care of that knee

Mandy- wish I could get moving in the exercise dept, good for you.

Nataliesmom- sending you hug. My youngest dd did not sleep through the night til she was over 2 and to this day does not sleep well and she is 14.5. Hope you get a chance to have a small nap today.

Nessa- the new do looks great. Keep up the good work and those evil scales will be on your side in no time.

Gonna- hope you are feeling better soon. I hate funky moods.

tkglenn- morning, hope you have a great day.

kim- good for you exercising. Enjoy the game tonight.

Thanks tdiprincess, Barb and Kara for thinking about me. It was a terrible thing. He was on life support for a week. So sad really he was only 35 the funeral was sad, I couldn't go but dh went. His brother spoke, and held it together really well, they had a falling out a few years ago and had not spoken to each other in two years.

Me- I am just going to take it easy today the weather is yucky and I am feeling blah. But I did finally get caught up with the boards Well I must go grab my tea. Have a great day chicks.

Cat - The turkey scallopini sounds great. I'll have to see if I can find turkey tasso...I haven't seen it around here, but then again I haven't looked.

Cottage - Scary! Hope it turns out to be nothing serious.

Cyndi - 4 day weeks during the summer sound like a good idea. 3 day weekends are always nice.

Fluffy - sorry to hear about the knee. Cold packs!!

Mandy - ick. I don't even want to think about Louisiana summers. It is my most hated (and LONGEST) season.

NataliesMom - How old is the baby? It hasn't turned out to be one of those days yet....but it was yesterday. I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't turn out that way again today.

Gonna - isn't it crazy what TOM can do to a person? Men just don't believe it.

Nessa - cute hair!

TK - Morning, girl. Have a great day.

Princess - I didn't have time to mention anything yesterday, but I'm so sorry for your loss. What a horrible thing. It really teaches you to treasure the time that you have.

Schmoodle - good luck with work today. Those situations are stressful.

Finally finished!

Today is going to be an at home day due to the rising gas prices. We'll likely go to a different park that is walking distance from our house. It isn't as nice, which is why we usually don't go...but it will do. I'm going to ask hubs to drop off the library books that are due and pay the bill that I need to pay in town so I don't have to drive.

My plan today is to tackle my son's closet (the catchall for EVERYTHING) and my underwear and sock drawers. I have too many socks and underwear. I can barely close the drawers.

Calvin and Alex are watching Super Readers right now, and I'm about to go make a cup of decaf chai tea with low fat milk.

I'm also planning to make today an entirely clean day, it's been too long since I've had one. If not for one reason or the other. Since I'm not going anywhere, it should be quite easy. I think that Cat's recipe for beans sounds really good....I might make that tomorrow night for dinner, but tonight is steak kebabs with peanut sauce, broccoli, and garlic kale.

Have a great day, ladies

Zeff, I get it either at Albertson's or Winn Dixie. Both Richard's and Savoie make it and I think both of them are pretty close to you in SW LA, so you should find it most anywhere around there.

It is also really good to season vegs with. Saute it with onions, peppers, garlic, squash, zuchinni, eggplant etc in a little evoo and Zaterain's and it's heaven.

Good morning all. I'm finally back at work after a painful day yesterday. Spent the day in bed with muscle relaxers, Adill, a book, and the remote. Needless to say, I didn't get much done, let alone go to work.

So, now I'm playing catch-up.

Yesterday was pretty bad eating wise for me as well. I had 1 "light 'n' fit" yogurt, 3oz of baked fish, a big salad, 4 battered clam strips, and 9 BIG cheese-it crackers. Didn't drink enough water, and didn't eat enough good food.

Oh well... today will be better

Have a great day all!

Richards and Savoie's are both readily available where I am....I'll have to check for it the next time I'm grocery shopping. The greasiness of regular tasso usually prevents me from preparing it. I've really been impressed with the smoked sausage at the local butcher, but it's pretty fatty, so we don't have it often.

Mare- Glad you're feeling better. Sick days are the worst.

nessa: I like the new picture!!
gonnabe: sorry you're down in the dumps.. just think about the scripture in your signature and others that you know

Hello everyone, sounds like another busy day for everyone.

I am trying to figure out what is going on with my other laptop while at work today hopefully we will get it fixed so it behaves.

Tomorrow I am going on field trip with DD3 she is so excited, she is four and last night she was putting in bread to toast to make her own sandwich and pulled out my lunch bag and starting packing for our picnic, so funny.

I never have time for personals but I do have to say Nessa you look great, that color really looks good on you.

I have been doing so much better this week, feeling much better and the scale is moving down again so I am hoping by end of month next month we will be progressing back into the 180's and continue on.

Have a great day everyone

GAH! Stress makes me want to eat! DH did the shopping this week and forgot the dishwasher detergent and bought me fat free fudgesicles instead of sugar-free and now I have a sink and dishwasher full of dishes that are bugging me but I can't find a minute to hand wash them, and I really want one of those fudgesicles!
Just found out that I now have a trip to Norfolk on Thursday, just what I needed on top of everything. Help!
