Today's lesson - an hour and a half of yoga is still work! Yoga always sounds so innocent and relaxing. OMG, everything and I mean everything aches a bit. Wow! It's interesting to discover what muscles I haven't been working and which muscles I haven't been stretching properly!

Ruth - I'm just too darned lazy to bother shaving! I'm the same way with my hair, especially in camping season. It has to be washable with a pan of water and finger comb and go. In my corner of the world it isn't all that unusual so it does make it easier. I've never really been one to care what everyone else thinks though. Thus the tattoo at 40 ;)

Nessa - When do we get a picture of your new do??

 Chicks!

Yoga isn't cardio so I need to get my butt moving now. Tonight we're grilling again. Nothing too exciting but I did pick up a couple of packages of marked down mushrooms (I love a bargain) which will get tossed on skewers and onto the grill. Yum!

Have a good afternoon/evening all

I LOVE YOGA BUT IT does kick butt!

Kara - If you ever make it out to Los Angeles be sure to come by the USO at LAX. Everyone that comes by says it's a really good one. (I really wouldn't know since it's the only one I've been to). We're open 24/7 so I know that helps. When I'm there on Saturday morning I bring in eggs and make up egg sandwiches and omlettes. It's so much fun. And like I tell the people who are there....."It's the least that I can do." I love it!!!!

Tom was in your USO back in March! Bet he didn't stand out, though. Tall, bald guys are a dime a dozen in the military...

Hi chicks, back from pizza night, and enjoying my bowl of yogurt.
Kara, "reading his own press" means he is renowned as a Super Survivor and an awesome player and competitor, and it seems like he has been reading that about himself in the media and starting to agree.
Hi Barb, what happened with the car? Is that all fixed?
Yoga rocks! Wish I had time to do it every day, but after my walk and getting in a WATP, I only have time to do it occasionally.
Well, my yogurt is gone, and I've got to fold and put away some laundry and plan our menus and grocery list for the week, plus scrub one bathroom before I go to bed. I won't be home all day tomorrow, so I want to get ahead. We have tickets to Hershey Park tomorrow, crossing my fingers the weather won't be too bad. Cottage, we will wave from the top of the kissing tower. How far are you from Hershey?
Sunday is DD's birthday party, and all of her friends said they would attend!! Aren't like 25 - 30% supposed to respond with regrets? So I guess we'll have about 17 or 18 girls at the roller rink. Hope all goes well. Girls this age are so temperamental.

Schmoodle, I'm about 1 1/2 hours from Hershey Park. I hope you have nice weather for your day at the park. Right now they're calling for occasional thunderstorms.

Sorry not to be too chatty today. I've been so tired all day long, no energy whatsoever. I just woke up from a nice little nap and feel a little better now. I'm just glad I forced myself to do a workout early this morning, so at least I don't have to feel guilty.

Schmoodle, aw, Hershey Park! We used to go every summer when I was a kid. Ride the Comet for me, OK? I love that one! But you have to sit in the front seat. And keep your hands in the air the whole time!

Linda, hope you get a good sleep tonight!

Kara

cottagebythesea 04-25-2008 09:51 PM

Thanks, Kara. I hope that nap I took didn't ruin it for me tonight.

Schmoodle 04-25-2008 10:06 PM

The comet's the old wooden one, right? None of this upside down stuff for me! We used to go when I was a kid too. At that time you could still go through the factory and see the giant vats of chocolate. And thus began a lifetime love affair...

cottagebythesea 04-25-2008 10:09 PM

Schmoodle, you can still take the factory tour. I always wished I could lick the beaters!

Schmoodle 04-25-2008 10:11 PM

I thought they didn't let you in now. They have that little animatronic ride at the entrance to the park about how stuff is made.

cottagebythesea 04-25-2008 10:18 PM

I was there last year, and they were still doing the tour then. You ride the train thingy, and have to look through glass windows, but you still get to see everything. Be careful in the candy store!
