Wow, chickies!!! 15 posts before 8:30???
I don't know how I can keep up with all you early birds!
It's a beautiful morning,
Cottage! Hope you get a chance to enjoy time with the girls! What do you do with your dinners during the day? Do you just refrigerate them and then reheat at dinner time?
Run,
Kara, run!
Congrats on the 1.5 lbs!
Cat, one day I have to look around for a video on fluidity so I can better understand what you do...
Oh,
Cyndi, I feel your pain. But you know those 2 pounds will WOoooooosh off as soon as your TOM is over.
It's nice to get a big drop like that! You girls who get up early (5:30????
) are inspiring to me. It's my goal to one day get up early enough to actual make a cup of tea before rushing out the door to work--I usually get up about 15 minutes before I have to leave!
Ruth, have a great time--is this "cute" as in a darling little woman or "cute" as in hunky?
I'm sending
that you stay away from all things resembling Chinese food or buffets...
TK, I find that it's helpful for me to set a schedule for each day (up to a week ahead) and it's even better if I attach my workout to something else. For instance, on the days I work, I go to the gym right after, so I don't have time to go home and get distracted. On Tuesdays, I go right after my morning therapy appointment. On Fridays, though, it's harder, because I don't have any appointments, usually. So, for instance, this week I've decided that I'm going at 9:00. I feel pretty guilty if I break a planned schedule, so even with the 'net draws me in and I feel lazy, I seem to make it to the gym if I've scheduled it. On the other hand, if I just say, "I'm going to the gym on Friday," I can very easily end up doing tons of things and never getting around to it.
Anyways, I wish you luck--it really is key to health and to your weightloss.
Janda, I'm so, so sorry!
My dad has a health issue that's very painful and he's been working with doctors for a year to try to diagnose it. He's been on tons of different meds but nothing has worked and they still have no idea what it is. That makes me so frustrated! I'm not patient, so I'd be on the phone yelling at someone until I got some answers...but I also realize that sometimes there just aren't any answers for a long while and you have to learn patience. Are there any specialists you can go to, even if they're in another country? Can you work from home part time so that when you're feeling better, you can work but still be able to rest when you're feeling bad?
Nessa and
Kara, I was thinking as I read Nessa's post, "Yup, I been there...but I've never done WATP, so I just yell at Denise Austin!"
I'm just a noisy person all around!
Nessa, I'm SO thrilled for you!!! I was talking about the Beck book yesterday at my Mood and Food support group and talked about you and breaking your plateau. It brought tears to all our eyes because we can TOTALLY relate. You go, girl!!!
Hope all is well with Hannah! I take Angel (our dog with crystals) to the v-e-t tomorrow for urinalysis and an anal gland check (which she'll just loooooove
). I swear, every time I bring her in they're doing something to her butt--she is not pleased about that, and I understand!
Kara, you're so energetic--it's awesome! I like the milk idea...
Maybe TK should tell the kids that milk can only be served warm from now on--and she'll have kids sleeping on the kitchen table...
Me:
Since I have tomorrow off, this is the beginning of my weekend. Tonight is free too, which is great! Our dog(s) over the years have jumped on and off our couch so much that, between their claws and normal wear and tear, the edge of our loveseat has torn open and the edge of the same spot on our couch is almost about to split. We'd love to get new couches, but it'll take some time to pick something and then order it, etc. In the meantime, I have a book club at my house this Sunday and in two weeks, I'm having a little get together. So, I'm going to do my best to attempt to "cover" the seats on both pieces of furniture. It's not an easy task since both the couch and loveseat have two seats that recline. We may have to avoid doing that until we get a new couch, but we'll see. I got some gorgeous grey/blue sueded material that's pretty thick at JoAnn's last week with a 50% off sale and am going to try safety pinning it to the edges of the cushions. If that doesn't work, I may get out my needle and thread and sew it to the seat!
We'll see!
I also need to vacuum tonight and fold/put away a bunch of laundry. I'm hoping to get a phone call in to my mom, as well. Last Sunday I marinated 3 lbs of chicken breast and grilled them. Yesterday I had one, plain, with veggies and a roll (similar lunch today) and tonight, I'm going to cut one up and have it over salad with some fresh fruit and a small amount of goat cheese and nuts. Mmmm!
Hope everyone has a great day!
to those that come after.
