What phase are you on?
Did you recently transition to Ph2?
What is a daily menu for you?
Are you eating enough?
Is it just prior to TOM?
Have you eaten a lot of salty stuff lately?
Are you weighing at the same time of day/same scale?
Have you changed your exercise routine at all?

1.5 lbs. is not a very big variation. My weight can vary up to 7 lbs. in a day. If you've been on-plan I'm sure it's not a big deal. Post more details, and we can give more feedback.

hi!

my weight fluctuates anywhere from 1.5 to 3 lbs in general and water retention sometimes puts me at +4lbs before TOM. i wouldn't worry too much;) just wiat and see how the next week goes.

ladybugnessa 03-25-2008 11:39 AM

perfectly normal.

use the scale as a data point. you have very little to lose. it's vanity weight and it's going to take a long time for it to happen.

you could be retaining water.
you could be right before your TOM
i doubt it's fat since you really won't gain fat overnight...

ya gotta relax babe.

I gain 3-5 pounds right before I ovulate AND right before I get my period. Check out the water weight fluctuation sticky thread in the Weight Loss Support part of the forum.

My weight fluctuates up and down all the time, usually by about 2-3 pounds. Do your clothes still feel the same tightness/looseness? Do your hands or feet seem swollen?
Just continue forward in your efforts and your scale will eventually go down.
Try not to scale obsess. Better to obsess over healthy eating plans and exercise challenges!

Where is the dairy? And legumes? Better review the Phase I List. And are you drinking lots of water?

ladybugnessa 03-26-2008 09:10 AM

also no fruit?
no grains/starches?

Ruthxxx 03-26-2008 09:23 AM

Nessa, I believe she is on Phase I - started March 15 - so no fruit or grains yet.

ladybugnessa 03-26-2008 09:26 AM

oh phase 1.... hmmmm..... i thought she was going into phase 2 which also could explain the gain.... sorry.

Any chance you're pregnant?

I would say to wait a week and see what happens. Keep up what you're doing for the time being, drink some extra water, and see how it goes. Stress is also a trigger for inflammation and water-retention, so if you're going through an illness or not sleeping well, having a lot of stress in your life, you could also be gaining from that.

kbroyles3 03-26-2008 04:58 PM

OMG, Fluffy

Dont jinx me like that!!! haha..

No, Def not Prego!!!
My 18month old is enough!!

Yes I drink water!! Lots, about 60-80oz a day..
I dont know whats going on...
I'll see what happens in the next couple of days..

Thanks again everyone!!
