I wouldn't simply for the reason that you will probably be starving in a very short time and not getting the nutrition and satisfaction of eating something . How about eating leftovers from the night before, or turkey/spinich/bean roll up or anything else phase 1 friendly? You don't have to eat eggs at all, but I'd have a full meal of some kind.

No you can not use it, if you read the ingridents I bet sugars are high on the list. You do not have to have eggs for breakfast. Alot of times during ph 1 I would eat left overs from supper the night before. Think outside the breakfast box. Check the recipie section for some great recipies.

thanks! I was just looking at these SBD recipies and found one for a cinnamon muffin. I think I will by some ground flaxseed tonight and try it out.

Jonsgurl, have you tried making some veggie-packed omelets or frittatas? I know they're egg dishes, but I just love them so much more than a plain ol' egg.

Hi, Jonsgirl! The girls have given some excellent ideas for breakfast, other than eating eggs. Check out this sticky from our FAQ section, too, for more great breakfast alternatives -

DON'T DO IT!!! The cinnamon flaxmeal muffins are AWFUL!!! They're slimy and greasy and taste like nothing. It's like eating a crunchy sponge. Even though there is a ton of cinnamon in there don't let it fool you. They only smell like yummy cinnamon muffins.

If you're really stuck with b-fast ideas, which I was, I ended up eating a cheese stick with 2 tbs of peanut butter. I also made the mock french toast a few times which was ok with sf syrup. They were like really flat pancakes. When I ate the cheese stick and peanut butter, I just beefed up my mid morning snack so I wasn't starving come lunch time.

Hope this helps!!

I should have read this before making the muffins... they were AWFUL blah!!

I made them in the oven though and the smell... was sooo yummy. verry disappointed

I found a vanilla smoothie in my south beach diet cookbook for phase one. I think I am going to try that for next week.
