Good Morning Ladies:
DH and I stayed up super late last night snuggin and watching Movies. He's still out cold we're going to decorate the tree today =D
Cottage Take care of your Ankle! You're a perpetual motion machine!!!! Can I borrow some DNA?
Kara: that's so romantic!! Hopefully you and Tom will get time to celebrate poor Kadyn!!
Cat: can you post somewhere the coconut cake recipe? My MIL LOVES coconut her bday is on friday. A totally SB menu btw you're my gastronomic hero (MOVE OVER BAREFOOT CONTESSA HERE COMES CAT)
Ruth: How was the gym?
Schmoo: I do the same thing with MVM! Rest assured she might be tanned with a flat stomach, but she's not cuter than you!
Cyn you're making me want a dehydrator (do they take up alot of room?) it sounds like a solution for a lot of SBD friendly snacks
Kim Good Luck with the Lunch!!
Steph your weekends sounds so nice!!

I think since DH is here I'll try the WATP and see how I do today.
Time to get my LAzy but in the shower!
Kierie

Just a quick fly-through...had students in all morning and need to head to lunch in a minute or two. Hope everyone is having a great day!

It rained most of last night and now it's a ice-covered world! I'm so thankful that they salt the road here. In the meantime, everywhere I walk outside, I take little geisha steps (and the words to the great G&S musical run through my head, "Three little girls from school are we..." ).

Off to the gym after work. We're starting the countdown to our Christmas party this weekend and so DH requested a week of no cooking. I have the hardest time coming up with ideas for quick SBD meals...especially when I try not to overdo salads. Tonight we're making subs at home with WW rolls from our grocery store. I'm having mine with some veggies and maybe some lentil soup. Tomorrow we're doing WW tortellini with SF tomato sauce and salads. Wednesday is canned chili with LF cheese and frozen veggies. (can you tell I was very uninspired???) Thursday I'm having a "party before the party," as my neighbor puts it, and several friends are coming over to help make appetizers for the party. I'm going to make a crockpot full of a veggie stew to serve over WW couscous with plain yogurt. I'm going to cook up a batch of cut up chicken breasts to add for my more carnivorous friends. Friday we're getting a pizza from Wegman's, who will make them on a WW crust, but only if you order 24 hours in advance. Let's hope I remember to call!!!

I'd love to hear ideas for quick meals...anyone have any?

Have a great day and stay warm and safe!

Hi chicks on the fly today....what a ending of the week we had, Friday Dh's father took a stroke, so we were at the hospital til noon when they let him home. So we had to drive him as they live an hour away, stayed with them for a bit. Then came home. Went to Bangor sat for some shopping, home fell asleep by 4:30 woke up at 10:30 for a bit and went back to sleep. Sunday went to the laundry mat in the morning, then went out to buy a dyer. Home and the to the funeral palour as a good friends mother passed. So today was catch up day.... Anyhoo just wanted to pop in and say hello. Time to bring the wee ones in for snack and get home work started. Have a great day.

Kim, I hope your lunch was nice! Sounds like you had a good plan for staying close to plan!

Stephanie, does your daughter actually run or is she just always on the go? My sisters and I were always (and still are ) very hyper when we're together!

Kier, what's WATP? Glad your movie night was fun!

Laurie, Make Your Own Hoagie Night was one of my favorite dinners as a kid! I think it was one of those I-don't-feel-like-cooking things for my mom (who did a LOT of cooking!) but it was always a special treat. We had breakfast for dinner sometimes too, and that was always fun!

LC, so sorry to hear about your father-in-law and your friend's mother! Hope your husband's dad is on the mend.

I'm off to start my Tuesday. Have a nice night, all!

Morning Miss Kara, I've been waiting for someone to come out to play... I guess once January rolls around we'll have lots of chicks hanging around to keep us busy.
Kim, hope you made it through the office lunch unscathed!
Pacer, I'm not offended, maybe a little jealous, but not offended. I hope to have the same problem someday...
Kierie, what a great way to start the week!
Laurie, still sounds like a lot of cooking to me.
That's a busy and traumatic weekend littlechick. Hope DH's dad is doing okay.

Is there usually a huge rush of new people in January? I was trying to remember and then I realized that I joined in June, so I wouldn't know!

Oh, right, New Years' resolutions! Sometimes I'm so thick...

Kara

P.S. We'll have to have some kind of welcoming party or something!

Kara- You're not thick. (If you were your skinny jeans wouldn't be fitting again and they are )I love the idea of a party. We'll need some new welcome happy faces and balloons though.

Thanks, everyone, for the Good Luck wishes at lunch! I stuck to my plan except for having a regular coke. Oh well. I did avoid the chocolate cake, pumpkin roll, pumpkin turtle pie and peppermint bark, though. Sorry about the food porn, but I really think it's ridiculous that there were that many desserts for 15 people! And there were so many leftovers that I know they will be out tomorrow for everyone to snack on! Sheesh!

Kara and Dawn - I agree! A welcome party would be fun! Plus, I'm doing P1 starting Jan 1 for two weeks, so I would probably have a lot of new friends then!

Schmoo: I'm going right now to play with mvm. Should be fun!

DH and I have a "movie date" to watch Chuck and Larry at 8 pm, so I'd better go if I want to fart around on the internet some more!

Yay, Schmoodle! I'll have some company!

I think it's definitely the best time for me to start. After the holidays and I start classes on the 16th of January, so it's pretty much a big 14-day chunk of time with no big events going on. Should be great for a fresh start.
