This morning I ran it in my sunroom/library/computer room which is pretty large..long room. It stopped about 1/2 through cause it was full of dog hair and dirt...I emptied it and up it started again. As far as doors, there are little battery operated things you can put by the doors to keep it from leaving a room. I didn't have any "D" battaries, so I just closed the doors to the room to keep it in that one room. I can't wait to get home from school and start playing again. The model I got has a thing where you can set it to start all by itself with a timer when you are not home...like starting a coffee maker. too cool. I guess once the newness wears off I'll try that...too much fun to watch now! |
Laurie - Sorry about your cold. I've been dealing with the sinus pressure/pain/drainage since last Friday and I haven't taken any time off work either. I probably should have on Monday and Tuesday when I had the fever but it seems better today.
Cat - If the Louisiana Dirty Rice is good, please post the recipe. That is the type of stuff I really like. I'm eating leftover ham jambalaya for lunch today and it really hits the spot. Yesterday was one of the worst days so far. I had to work from home as I had a meeting that started at 7AM which meant I had to deal with Robert all day. He just kept picking fights. It sounds like he may not be willing to move out once he gets a job after all. I hate that it is going to get nasty but I'm not going to stay in this situation. To top it off yesterday was one of those really busy work days which took 11 hours so I didn't get any breaks. I'm really glad to be in the office today. |
Good afternoon chicks! I did my lunchtime workout and I did it with no problems from the ankle Yippee!
Barb so sorry for what you are going through  thoughts & prayers continue to be with you. |
Hi Ladies,
Just a quick hello to everyone. I too like doing the Christmas cards. Doesn't seem like Christmas otherwise. I put on Christmas music and do mine. Don't send out as many though as I used to. Not doing much decorating this year since it will be just DH and me. Got out our cute little fiberoptic (sp) tree with the fruit on it and set it on an end table. Fiberoptic lights went out on it a few years ago and we put a string of those lights that do different sequencs of blinks. It was to pretty and unusual to throw out. All of you sound really busy. Sorry some of you're ill and hope you get to feeling better soon. I had to have my ring cut down a few years ago and that was fun. I had to start Phase 1 over too. I am enjoying the recipes so I believe I'll do better with it this time. Trying to make it more interesting and fun. Started Tai Chi yesterday because it is supposed to be good to my knee and I think itis doable for me. Have a great day Ladies!!! |
AWANA is a church group. It stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (from 2 Timothy 2:15). There are groups from three years old up through high school and the kids do a lot of scripture memorization and then activities and lessons to reinforce the message of the scriptures they're working on. I'm in charge of the program for the three and four year olds and Tom is a leader for the five to seven year olds. We love the program! It's a strong salvation-based message and the kids are really learning a lot. The earn patches and things like in the Scouts, and they have game times, book times, group lesson times, etc. throughout the night. It started off in the Baptist church but because our chapel on base is interdenominational, we are allowed to host the program. We have upwards of a hundred kids registered, I would guess, between all of the ages.
You can check out awana.org if you want any additional info. Kara |
I'm back after a CRAZY day at work. :dizzy: Ate OP all day but never really got a chance to eat much. I'll have to REALLY keep it under control tonight so I don't overeat.
Femme I love Scooba. They both seem to go over the floors repeatedly but I'm with you if I'm not doing it I don't care how long it takes. The first ay I ha mine though I followed it around in amazement and kind of defeated the multi tasking purpose of it. Cottage I agree with you about the first generation of Roomba but they have gotten ALOT better. You have also inspired me to get my cards out on time this year. Laurie I hope you are feeling better. Gonnabe You are inspiring me to workout but I just don't know if I have it in me tonight. Your posts may convince me otherwide though.:running: Schmoodle I hope your day went well and your lunch was fun. Stephanie I hear you about the boobs. They were the last things to show up when I gained weight and the first things to leave when I lost.:?: Hope everybody had a great day. |

Hi chicks, getting ready to call it a day. Waiting for a friend of DD's to get picked up, and just wanted to stop in and say good night.
No boobs here either. I've already gone from a C to B cup, By the time I'm done, they'll be empty shells. Having a terrible time finding new bras too - haven't got any that are comfortable right now. Fingers still fat though... Lunch was fun, we went to Ruby Tuesday's and I behaved, salad bar and white chicken chili. Think I'll make a bowl of yogurt, and eat it in bed watching TV, how cozy is that? |
