Weekend on the Beach (Oct 27-28)
 

Mornin' ladies! :broc: I've lost a bit of my diet mojo so I'm back on phase 1 this week for the big push to Thanksgiving. The colder weather is coming in and Halloween candy is lurking :devil:.

Hope everyone has lovely plans for the weekend. I've got my nieces tonight for a movie night while my in-laws are out to a dinner DH and I booked for them for all the help they gave us when we moved into our new flat in March (this is them finally setting aside a night when they can go!). So I'm totally looking forward to it.

Hi, Jenny! Lots of :dust: to you too. I should go back to Phase I since I'm stuck at the moment.

I bought chips for Hallowe'en treats and have left the box in the trunk of the car. I'll buy some more stuff next week - around 4:30 on the 31st to minimize temptation. I may buy peanut butter cups since I just can't stand chocolate and peanut butter. Sorry! Food porn!

Not a good start to this rainy morning as I had to deal with a mouse - I'll spare you the details. I have lots to do to get ready for the dinner party tonight but do have the chicken marinating and the dessert made - just veggies and salad for the last minute. I also must go to visit Harry today as I won't be able to do it tomorrow. I am scheduled to do dog testing in Ottawa for Therapeutic Paws since their regular evaluator had to cancel. Grrr! Not looking forward to more than three hours driving but them's the breaks when you are a committed volunteer. Sometimes I think I shoud BE committed! I will take Hershey with me since I value her opinion about dogs and people. :lol: There are 20 dogs to test so it should be a long day.

elusive - good luck with getting back on phase I - I just had to go back on it for a few days (after 5 months) I had gained some weight due to some stuff with family so I feel I am back in check now.

Ruth - good luck with the tempting treats, the trunk is an awesome place to hide stuff (out of sight out of mind) I think is what they say

The next week is going to be crazy. Trying to get this house ready for my Mom and Sister's arrival tomorrow, need to get to the grocery etc and of course a client wants to meet with me today of all days....

So..I just took last night off to relax, sit on the patio and had a couple of rum and (diet) cokes. The moon was just too gorgeous, so I grabbed the camera and took a few shots Click on the picture of the pots. It was just beautiful out there..weird and creepy and tres Louisiana. Wish the pictures showed the moon clearer.

I will probably be very scarce over the next week or so, but wanted to wish everyone a great weekend!

As for me the weather is finally cooling down enough to get out the long sleeves.:) I will be in the girls room cleaning and seperating the clothes for the next season. :faint: This will probably be a weekend project.

It's another very rainy day here. Jake made me get up early to go for breakfast, it's becoming a weekend obsession with him! Then we went over to Home Depot to price new countertops for the kitchen. That was fun, there are so many different options. That's a project that will have to wait until after the holidays, but Jake wanted to get an idea of how much it would cost so we can start budgeting for it.
I'm curled up on the loveseat on the sunporch now, and we have the fireplace going. It's really snug and cozy just sitting here warm and dry, watching the rain pouring down. I'm going to go put together a SB friendly apple crisp pretty soon though, so we can enjoy some after supper. I'm still tossing ideas for that around with Jake.

Happy Sunday on this sunny and crisp Fall morning! Just think, next week we turn back the clocks and it's going to make it that much harder to get up.
We're headed out for breakfast and a quick run to Trader Joe's. This afternoon my DIL and I are taking Amber and Tyler to the mall for Malloween.

A lovely October day is unfolding. I wish I could stay home and enjoy it but the drive to Ottawa will be pretty.

The dinner party last night went really well - we were still at the table at midnight! I did get the dishwasher loaded and started before bed and have just put everything away. Hershey was in her glory as Morna and John were here, her first owners. (I didn't get her until she was three.)

By the way, I'm sneaking up on getting another dog, an adult this time. I'll be seeing him next week but won't get him officially until the end of November which will be after my trip west to see my daughter and family. He's a Brussels Griffon and is supposed to be super friendly and well-behaved.

Gotta grab some breakfast and hit the road. I'm packing a Laughing Cow, veggie and ww cracker lunch and will buy some skim milk on the way. See y'all later.

Good morning all, I am working days this weekend so my time will be spent at work but I will not be sleep deprived as usual and will be ready to go on Halloween-- I am thinking I am going to be going on phase 1 after Halloween- I have been stuck on plateau for almost two months now- glad to have the weight off but ready to see it move again and I feel like my resolve is starting to falter and needs to be boosted.

This is my favorite time of the year enjoy your weekend.
