  • Good morning, Beach Beauties.

Dull and rainish this morning after a glorious blue and gold Thanksgiving Sunday. I had dinner at my sister's last night and my stomach muscles are sore from laughing this morning. What a fun group my cousins are! The food and drink was pretty special too.

Not much on the agenda today although the cousins may pop in on their way home to Montreal and Oakville. If it's too wet to tackle the garden cleanup, I'll take on the sewingroom.

    Have a great Monday.
  • just had a brief minute off of my busy life so i thought i'd pop in and say hi!

still beaching... broke the 230 stall... down to about 228 now....

    hope all is well
  • Good Morning,

Nessa! It's so nice to hear from you again! Congratulations on the break-through, you are doing fantastic!

Ruth, Please, please shoo a little of that rain down this way? It's so dry here that everything is brown and drooping. I finally broke down and turned the sprinklers on in the garden this morning. I'm so glad you had such a fun weekend, laughter is the best medicine!

I just got back from Curves and am sitting here in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. It's so hot and humid outside that it's unreal for this time of year. Crazy weather!

The girls have off school today and are on a fox hunt this morning, so I don't have to go over until noon. I'll probably take Amber with me, as she has a day off as well, and the girls just love to get together. I have a lot of activities in mind that we can do, but I'll let them decide what they want.

I plan to clean the house this morning, and if there's time afterwards I'll start working on the pillows I'm cross-stitching for a Christmas present. First, though, time to enjoy my oatmeal!
  • Thanks Cottage.... i've been busy running my own board... sadly some things have to fall by the wayside.

I'm up in the gym now doing bodyvive (low impact aerobics for old fat chicks) and yoga and i'm pretty darn proud of myself.

enjoy your oatmeal, i already had mine.
  • Hello -

We got back into town yesterday from vacation and I am still suffering a bit of jet lag. Still, as nice as vacations can be it is always great to sleep in your own bed again!

Hawaii was great - each island was beautiful. The cruise was also great - may be my favorite way to vacation. I did yoga this morning, but have not weighed myself (I'll do that tomorrow) and was fairly active on vacation (hike up Diamond Head, snorkeling, etc), but I did not try to stay on plan (too much amazing food and alcohol around) and will get back on gradually this week. First I need to hit the grocery store - the frig is in a sad state - and find my motivation, I am sure it is around here somewhere!

Off to the shower and work - I expect it to be a LONG day!

    Ally
  • Where did the weekend go? Ugh! Bring on the coffee!

Ruth Glad your weekend was enjoyable!

Nessa So glad to see you pop in! Great job on the break through! Hope all is well in your world! We miss you!

Ally Glad you had a good vacation! No one can blame you for not staying OP while gone, don't think there is a one of us out there that could! Sending you good vibes for getting back on track!

Me One more hot one here today and then it is supposed to rain tonight and be 20 degrees cooler tomorrow! I feel like I wasted the weekend away! So much running, can I call a do over?

I need to watch what I am doing eating wise, I have noticed myself slipping into a nibble of this a nibble of that, oh just this once won't hurt, as I am trying to maintain. Scales aren't going up, but I see a bad pattern forming! Thank goodness for this board to keep me honest and be accountable.

Hope everyone has a great day!

    Steph
  • Hi Nessa!! I've been wondering about you. Glad things are going well. Please stop back soon.

I'll be back in a bit to post some more chicks. Gotta run a quick errand.
  • Grrrrr! The mice have moved back in for the winter! So far they've not hit the kitchen but I spotted one in the cellarway. Time to set the trapline.
  • HI! Just a quick fly by! Running late! Will try to post later! Hope all is well with you all!

Welcome back Nessa! Good to see you posting again!

Ruthie, grrrrrrrr I hate mice in the house unless they're in a cage! Good luck!

    Lisa
  • Ruth - I'll take my nasty fire ants over mice anyday.

Ally - Vacation sounds amazing. One of these days I'm going to take a vacation that doesn't involve going back to WV to see family.

Steph - I've been doing the same thing with a nibble here and there too. Mostly on weekends when we have my stepson.

I hope everyone has a great Monday.

I'm off to track down some pain relievers I overdid the yardwork this weekend.
  • Hey everyone! Looks like I'll be MIA for most of this week. Inspections in the Southern part of my county (about an hour away) in some really remote desert lands. Yuck. Sometimes I HATE my job!
  • hi chickies. i had an excellent weekend - we picked up our new car on friday night. We spent Saturday puttering around the house, and we went out to dinner Sat night with some friends. Sunday we spent gaming at a friends house

This is a first day of our house on the market so I hope it sells quickly. The Raleigh market is still pretty decent, but not as good as it once was.

Ally - Do you have any pictures of your trip from HI? Would love to see a couple.

Nessa - Nice to see you.

Hope everyone has a beachy day...

Picture below is of the hubby's car on the left, my daily driver is on the right (1997 SC300).

  • Good Morning! I'm at school with a few minutes break and munching on some apple and cheese, so just popped in to say hello! So glad to hear from you, Nessa, and happy you broke that plateau. I did too...finally. Now, it's steadily dropping again...about a lb a week.

Next class coming in soon, so no time for personals...have a great Monday, all!
  • Ruth - I forgot it was Thanksgiving in Canada. How nice and I am glad you enjoyed your family.
Nessa - Great job on breaking through on your plateau. Nice to see you
Linda - Your day sounds nice - I love to cross stitch.
Ally - Hawaii - How nice! And a cruise - I love them. So welcome back to the real world
Steph - You have done so well--You will be fine, just don't let stress and munchies overwhelm you. Stay focused and enjoy your new healthy body!
Lisa - Have a great day
Dixie Dieter - Hope you feel better
Kim - Yuck that does sound awful. Be careful -- maybe a book on tape or something for the drive.
SandStripedCJ - Nice Lexus's. I love them--It is one of my "someday" cars I hope your house sells quickly
Femme Creole - Have a great day!

Me - I am work and really busy. I start back up with classes tonight. I am kinda overwhelmed thinking about a new semester and finishing my Masters. Only 15 months to go. I also lost 6 pounds with TOM, so that is awesome!

    Oh well--back to work

    Take care
  • OY. Hi girls, again. What a freaking ridiculous day. Got here, was having a great morning, getting things accomplished, and at 9:50 my help called because her fiance took her keys to work with him across town, doesn't get off until 4, and is by himself, so she can't come in. I only have 10.5 million things to do today outside of the store!!!! So, I called my boss and put a big sign on the door saying "BE RIGHT BACK!" and went and picked her up. Was a little irritated but now that I can get my stuff done, I feel much better.

Bears won! HOLY CRAP. I couldn't believe it. I stayed up for the end of the game and everything last night. Went to dinner with my parents, brother, and SIL last night. Was quite tasty, and even though I ate out twice in the last week, I still managed to lose 1 lb last week. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

I hadn't planned to eat out last night, so I have a ton of Fiesta Bean Soup in my fridge. It sure smelled good. I had some in a bowl ready to eat when my dad called saying they were picking me up to go to the Barrelhead for dinner. Mom apparently was feeling better (she had the same flu I did only for 2 days instead of 1) and thought maybe the cramping in her stomach was because she didn't eat for a full day or so. Brave woman, but she seemed to feel fine last night so hopefully she's over whatever bug is going around. Ryan had the pukes, Mom had the poops, and I had both at the same time.

Better get a move on. Talk to you girlies soon!

    Lisa
