Hey gals (and guys...are there any guys here yet?)!
We got back to Korea last Thursday night - got to visit Detroit and Tokyo en route! (or their airports, at least) - and have been trying to adapt to the time change ever since. Our visit home to the States was really nice. I started off really strong with smart eating choices and then just gradually fell into the pit of gnoshing on everything we can't get over here. Ugh. I gained eight pounds over two months! It's done and I'm disgusted with myself and embarassed to admit I was so weak, but I'm ready to get back on track so here we go.
I have to do this in stages or I'll overwhelm myself. This week's goal is to get five 16 ounce glasses of water a day. I've been slacking on my water and I need to get that in order. Then I'm going to work on upping my exercise for a couple weeks before I jump back into Phase 1. I suspect that by focusing on doing healthy things with my body I'll be more motivated to fuel it properly (plus there's no Wawa or hometown bakery here!), so I'm hoping that everything will fall in line with a little determination and some support from you all, of course.
Time to get the kids going for the day. I look forward to getting to know our new friends who have joined since we've been away!
I tried to post a picture from the wedding but my scanner isn't working properly so I'll have to work on that, too!

Kara! I've missed you and have been looking in here everyday, just waiting for you to come back.
I'm glad you had a nice trip home and back. Wawa, gotta love it!
You did GREAT!!! It's really, really hard not to indulge in things you know you won't see again for a very long time. Of course, now that you're home, you can experiment with making some of them in an SBD-safe way to remind you of your travels!
Try to stick with fairly non-processed foods or some kind of a Phase 2.5/Phase 3 and it'll be easier to jump back into Phase 1.
