Shrinking Boobs

So, DH just informed me that my boobs are shrinking. And he didn't say it like it was a good thing...
I reminded him that they were barely a B cup when he bought them, and only expanded to Cs over many years and babies. So no refunds at this point, buddy. But he's right, this is where I notice it so far, my boobs and my stomach. I'll take it. I'd love to start seeing a difference in my face, but this will come...
Just thought I'd share.

beachgal 08-03-2007 03:04 PM

 Schmoodle, my boobs are usually the last place I lose and the FIRST place I'd like to lose. I'm a DD right now and would LOVE to be the 36C I was in HS!

I know it's frustrating to lose in weird places at weird times. I found that I lost a ton in a specific area seeminglly overnight, then nothing for a while. Weird! One day I got up and half my derriere had disappeared! No kidding! It hasn't come back, either. I actually miss it a little, but not enough to want it back. ;)

:bravo: on your loss! I have a feeling your DH will find lots to like about your new figure, smaller boobs and all! ;) :flame:

Schmoodle 08-03-2007 03:21 PM

It's so wierd the way it kind of falls off in one particular area overnight. Just seems like it would be slow and steady overall. But as long as it comes off, it can come off any way it likes. I can't wait to stand up one day and leave a substantial portion of my butt behind. Thanks for the encouragement, beachgal, I'll just consider this a NSV!

Pacergal29 08-03-2007 03:52 PM

HA! Your not the only one! I have gone from a C cup to an A cup! Nice thing about it though as I look in the mirror the "rolls" on my back are gone! Now if those little pocket of fat near my armpits would just go away!

Liannie 08-03-2007 05:07 PM

A friend of mine once said that people lose weight from the top down, and that's certainly been true of me-- although I never had much boobage regardless of weight. I had to get up over 200 lbs just to break into a 40B. In fact, my friends and I in high school used to call ourselves the "IBTC" (Itty Bitty T**ty Club).

And even when I was in the 120s-130s, I still had thunder thighs. My mom used to call them "arboles" which is Spanish for trees because she said they looked like oak trees. :D

What part would you like to have shrink first?

L

witchyonadiet 08-03-2007 05:36 PM

Damn - my boobs will NOT shrink - driving me nuts !!!!!!!!

charolastra00 08-03-2007 05:43 PM

My boobs were the first things to go. It's actually really frustrating because I CANNOT afford new bras, and I'm down almost a whole cup size! I've lost more to my chest than both of my legs combined!

RNMOM 08-03-2007 06:38 PM

HaHa

Yep, same here.........boobage goes first. When I was at my goal a couple of years ago I was into an A, but couldn't make myself admit it, sooooo I had a dented B. It was pretty ridiculous.:D

cottagebythesea 08-03-2007 07:18 PM

Ok, I'm jealous! My boobs are the last place I lose inches from, too, Beachgal! I can lose inches easily anywhere else on my body, but my ta-tas refuse to shrink.

Schmoodle 08-03-2007 07:29 PM

If I could choose I'd have it off my big butt and stomach first, then thighs. I wouldn't lose any off my boobs. But I would love to get rid of those back rolls.

weezle 08-03-2007 07:40 PM

I'm SOOOO jealous. I was a B cup in 4th grade and up to a DD in high school, and that was when I was 115 lbs. I've stayed a DD throughout gaining and losing weight. The only thing that changes for me is the # in front. :(

I have accepted the fact that I just will forever have a badonkadonk butt (as the kids say these days,) huge boobs, and a lower stomach fat roll. Can't do much about it without lipo, and have you SEEN one of those procedures!? :barf:

tomandkara 08-04-2007 09:25 AM

I think mine might be going also. I ordered some new bras a couple weeks ago and when they came they seemed too big. Avery's even still nursing, so I wonder what's going to happen when she weans!!!

Pacer, I lost armpit inches right after I started on South Beach! I was shaving my armpits one night and had to contort to all kinds of weird positions because they just didn't "stick out" and make it easy to shave like they used to. Strange!

And regarding the pattern of losing inches, I think I lose from the outside extremeties to the inside. So my fingers, face, toes, ankles, etc. go first and then it creeps up my arms and legs and my belly and butt must be the last to go as they don't seem to have changed at all. I feel like I've got nice looking arms, upper abs, and decent legs, up to my thighs, but my upper thighs, butt, and belly still look all bumpy and gross. I'm hoping the inches start coming off there soon because that's where I'd really like to lose! This poochy belly and protrusions of fat above my hip bones drive me crazy.

Kara

weezle 08-04-2007 10:08 AM

Kara, my face/arms/ankles etc lost first too. I have the same problem. My upper abs are alright (not firm or anything but not bulgy) and my legs are good until about mid-thigh. From lower stomach pooch to mid-thigh is where I carry my weight. I don't care about finger fat. Why does that have to go first?

tomandkara 08-04-2007 10:10 AM

I KNOW! Who cares if my toes are a bit pudgy? They're HIDDEN in my SHOES!

Kara

charolastra00 08-04-2007 11:06 AM

I'm not losing in any pattern. I've lost from my ankles, calves, and thighs more proportionately than anywhere else, but have also lost from my face and neck.

What I'd REALLY like to lose- my arms!- didn't even change a half an inch on my last measurement.

fireflynova 08-04-2007 12:30 PM

Look on the bright side, with smaller boobs you'll be able to buy the pretty bras that they only make in small sizes :) I'm always stuck buying these hideous things because I need the support.. so I'm game to lose some of my chestage ;)

Barb0522 08-05-2007 06:04 PM

When I started South Beach, I was a 42DDD and I ended up as a 36C. I still have to wear bras with support since there is quite a bit of sag (heck, I'm 44 and nursed for 3 years) but I can now wear a small or medium shirt rather than an XL and a lot of this is because of the smaller bra sized. I'm happier this way and I don't bounce as badly when I exercise.

iammare 08-06-2007 11:48 AM

I'll take some of that butt! I've got my father's butt - NONE. I've got a flat butt, and always have. As HF says, it's all up front! LOL I'm between a tight D and a loose DD - depending on the day, and how much water I'm retaining.

KO 08-06-2007 12:27 PM

I know my boobs greatly shrunk Not quite sure what Size. When I break my plateau and get closer to my goal my reward is going to be a trip to the bra fitters at Nordstrom! I wish my thighs would firm up. My butt has perkified! and I think I'll always have the belly bulge. **** DH hasn't complained and I'm getting used to my Skinnier self! Bring on the all over shrinkage!

beachgal 08-06-2007 01:21 PM

Barb, I'd love to end up like you have, though I know I'll need support until the day that I get everything taken in surgically. 36C sounds divine! :cloud9: (Actually, even a B sounds divine...and those size A bras are SO darn cute!!!)

I hear you on pudgy toes, Kara, but my shoe size actually went down (my mom told me that was impossible, but it's true!) and since I went from an 11 to a 10 (sometimes), it really improved my shoe choices! :cp: So there is *some* worth to losing toe fat.

shrinkinglizzy 08-06-2007 01:26 PM

I wish I had read this thread earlier -- too funny! I don't know about my boobs, like Allie says, bras are too expensive, so I don't think I've bought a new one in 3 years, despite weight changes of 25 lbs! I just ignore the ill-fittedness
Pacergirl -- that is so funny what you say about that pouch of fat, I think the ones you mean are kinda midway between the top of the boob and the armpit. The ones that make strapless dresses look hideous. I HATE THOSE!! My mom used to call them my little mushkins (along with the adorable upper inner thigh fat. those were 'mushkins' too. thanks, mom.). I hope they go away eventually, though I think they'll probably hang on. I remember having them even at my 117, my lowest weight.

weezle 08-06-2007 03:51 PM

I hate armpit fat.

And I hate that my boobs don't go away. Do you know how hard it is to find a 32DD? I'd LOVE to be a nice perky C. Perkiness went away years ago with the weight gain. Sigh.... Thank God for good bras, but once I'm at my goal weight, I'm sure I'll want to have the boobies hiked back up and put back into place. How much does a boob-hiker-upper cost? Anyone do research?

Schmoodle 08-06-2007 07:27 PM

Weezle, we priced a boob reduction for my DD, who takes after her grandma in the boobage department, and that was about 5K, but not sure about enhancement.
slisette, thanks for the new nickname for the fat. We are big on dumb nicknames for things in my family, but I don't think I had a word for those armpit fat pouches.
beachgal, I don't care so much about my pudgy toes, although I get teased for my little square "Flintstone feet", but I'd love to lose some finger fat. My MIL gave me a ring about 5 years ago. I gained weight while wearing it and haven't been able to take it off for a few years. I'm sure she just thinks I love it, but the day I can take that ring off will be a major NSV!
iammare, I'd be happy to send you some butt in exchange for some boobs! If I lose too much on the boobs, I'm just worried that I'll have empty shells and I'll have to roll them up to get them into the bra cups. That's what 44, excess weight, and nursing all those kids does for you.

charolastra00 08-07-2007 12:07 AM

Schmoodle- too funny about the Flintstone feet! My parents for years have called mine hobbit feet! :P Toe flub has gone down and I want a toe ring! :P I want finger fat to go away too. My fingers and hands just look like an overgrown toddler's with dimples and everything! It's SO embarrassing! I carry all my weight on my arms which is so much harder to hide than tummy or legs :( How are you supposed to hide finger dimples? :P

So, I definitely can tell my boobs have shrunk now. When I was at the beach, my bathing suit top kept slipping down! Not a problem when I first tried it on!!! Stupid Old Navy didn't design their plus sized suits well at all so regardless of boob size, you'd have a problem. They are cute, but the bra part straight across and the halter top straps are not connected to the underwire bra. What's the point of underwire if it's not being held up by anything?! I'm picking up some safety pins so I don't have any more wardrobe malfunctions. Thankfully there were no small children in the water :P

weezle 08-07-2007 08:27 AM

I tried on a XXXL (that's 3X's, "triple X mongo" as my late friend Eric always said) suit top at Old Navy and it's not anywhere near close to fitting. I envy anyone who can wear Old Navy suits.

Pacergal29 08-07-2007 09:07 AM

There has to be a way to make that armpit fat go away! I'm curling my hair today (why when the humidity is 90+ I have no idea!) standing there in my bra and those rolls are laughing at me. Seriously everything else looks pretty decent. Todays goal find some excercises that makes them go away for good!

weezle 08-10-2007 02:51 PM

OK so after all that whining I did above about my boobs never going away.... I bought the new Victoria's Secret Body By Victoria Full Coverage Push-up Bra yesterday. Tried on my normal size 34DD..... then tried on a 34D.....

I've dropped a size!

Schmoodle 08-10-2007 03:32 PM

Hooray! Your boobs heard you and got offended!
