Unreal NSV

I'd been really discouraged for the past few days because I wasn't seeing any real movement on the scale. I'd go down two pounds, up three, down two, up one, etc. I have to wear khaki pants for this work thing next week and I realized that I'd gotten rid of all my khaki pants when I moved a couple months ago. So I had to go to the mall and get some new ones. I grabbed size fours off the rack, as always. I mean, there hasn't been a change on the scale, right? But they were way too big. So I went back and grabbed some twos. STILL ROOM TO SPARE. The store didn't have any size zero khakis, so I grabbed some size zero jeans to check.

NO WAY, I was thinking. But WAY. I was a size zero, even though the scale hasn't budged in a substantial way for almost a month. It's a SNUG zero (so I wound up getting the twos anyway), but they fully closed and there were no "muffin top" issues. Believe me, it was hard not to buy those jeans I didn't need just to commemorate the moment!

I know there have been a lot of posts recently from ladies who are worried because the scale isn't moving . . . if I'd posted in the last week my post would have been about the exact same thing. But obviously SOMETHING is going on. Don't give up! I'm glad I didn't.

Hey Betsy. Thanks for the encouragement! I was just logging on to ask a similar question!

And ZERO?! That is beyond exciting!!!

Did you measure yourself when you started?

I didn't and I wish I had. I measured myself today (waist, bust, and hips) just so I'll be able to track for the future.

Honestly, I'm thinking about ditching my goal weight . . . I just get hung up on the number and it DESPRESSES me. I know what I want to look like--I should just focus on that and let the scale say whatever it wants (much easier said than done!).

Schatzi--

I know, Peeps are just sugar on top of sugar! And when you eat them, you feel really gross. I used to eat them every Easter and get really sick. They're like the quentessential not-worth-it candy . . . no real pleasure and tons of regret! But they're really cute.
