So how are you all doing on Phase 2? Have you noticed any cravings returning or are you still plugging away? What's has and has not been working for you?

This thread has been quiet so I thought we could get it going again.

Things are going okay here. I have been mostly still doing Ph. 1 though. Thing is when I do snacks and dessert at night I stall in my weight loss. When I eat 3 meals and occasionally a small dessert I lose some. Not really sure what's up with that. We are going to a family runion for hubby's side of the family this weekend. Probably not going to be good for my way of eating. I'm sure there will not be much SB friendly food there and don't know if I can resist all of those homemade desserts. Does anyone have any ideas of anything I can make to take with me. It is about 3-4 hrs. from here, so I will have to make something that won't spoil.

Phase II, 3 weeks in...

So far I've added oatmeal, rf triscuits, quinoa, and yesterday had a whole wheat pita for the first time. Also tried some ww tortillas, but didn't care for them. I'll use them in a pinch. I've also added fruit, so far strawberries, blueberries, apples, nectarines, plums. I try to have no more than two starches a day for now. usually breakfast and dinner. And two fruits, usually an apple for afternoon snack. Some days I feel like I'm eating a ton and feel stuffed, and other days I feel hungry. I've noticed the hungry days are usually when I didn't have a hearty breakfast with protein. Still struggling with: getting enough water - too much travel lately to be drinking so much; and getting all the veggies in, but I'm doing much better. I've learned to stay away from nuts, and got rid of the block of dark chocolate that I had in the cabinet for a once a week nibble. I didn't break but it was just too tempting. I feel like I'm finally getting into a good routine. Next big challenge - exercise!

I've stalled a little but I don't know if it's because of my off plan eating last weekend or because I haven't been watching my portions as carefully again. My goal this week was just to get myself back on track with eating the right foods. I've been having one or two starches and one or two fruits a day, depends on the day and what "goes with" the menu. I've been doing well so far this week with eating the right kinds of foods and next week I will reconcentrate on portion sizes. I find that's where I see the most difference, when I pay close attention to how much I'm eating, even of the right foods. But I can't tackle too much at once or it's overwhelming and then I feel like giving up. I've been doing well with adding exercise back in. Last week I did three days of workouts and this week I've done two so far and have two more scheduled for later on this week - one more run on the treadmill and yoga on Saturday. Hopefully after next week's portion control policing I'll be losing again.
