Starting Question

Those of you who are farther along may be able to give me some advice here :)

DH and the kids are planning to make chocolate chip pancakes for me tomorrow for Mother's Day. This is supposed to be a surprise but my four year old can't keep a secret to save her soul. :) Anyway -- would it be better for me to start on phase 1 as of lunch time tomorrow, or to wait until Monday morning?

I recall reading in the book that starting in the morning.... something about you sleep through some of your blood-sugar-crash cravings.

I never heard about the morning rule. I'd say if you are ready to start do so tomorrow at lunch. Enjoy your Mother's Day breakfast! Kids are kids for such a short time.

I agree with Ruth. I never heard of that "morning rule", either. You can start the diet with whatever meal you choose. Enjoy these special times with your little ones, they grow up much too fast. Happy Mother's Day!

thanks, I will start it right after. a big goodbye to sugar with chocolate, white flour, and syrup. :P I'll probably feel so sick I'll be glad to get on plan!

Last night I was re-reading the SB diet book. The doc mentioned that when you wake up in the morning your blood will be clean of whatever you ate the night before. I think that makes it easier to start dieting than when you start in the middle of the day and may still have eaten something sugarry/high carb in the meals before.
