Happy Thursday All.
I'm just checking in and hope you all are doing well.
It's spring here today sunshiny and bright. DB and I have taken to getting off the bus a stop early to increase our walk, and now with our stop by home closed we are walking a little further to the next stop.

Every little bit helps right?

morning chick friends...doing well here,? thou..

We are supposed to have 3 straight days of sun in the 70's..I am stoked! Here in the NW we get our share of drizzles..and grey. I've been keeping busy, selling items ..books excercise tapes etc.at our local newspaper, and bookstore that takes and buys used...I'm storing the $$ for vacation spending money,or maybe it'll go to the gas fund, since that seems to be ripping at my budget. We went over 3bucks a gal.this wk. How's the prices in your part of the world? I am being good as far as the PHASE2 goes, last night I did have wine, with my dinner.
QUESTION: I can't find anything/ideas to use to bread (for lack of another word) fish with..this is flounder,or cod or someting like that..I tried it on top of the stove, and it was kind of slimy..We both didn't like it at all..no matter how good it is for us. Any suggestions? I'm off to buy some flowers for my window boxes..and do some planting outside today:p yea!!! Take care sisters..The roll we are on will not be at our waist!~CHOICES:hug:

i personally use a finely chopped nut and parmesean cheese mixture for breading.

Choices, on Phase II, you CAN have bread so go ahead and use it on your fish. I always use whole wheat breadcrumbs but you can use whole wheat flour too. Gas is really expensive here too - more than in the US. We pay $1.05 per litre and a gallon has 3.785 litres. Converting means we'd pay C$3.97 per gallon or $4.76 converted to US$.
Seattlejo, good attitude about walking further to the bus stop.
Kim, I hope you feel better soon.
Barb, another busy weekend for you. I hope you get some "me" time.
Sorry I've not time to comment for every post. My nap kind of put me a bit behind but I do feel better. The snow has stopped and is melting fast and teh sun is shining! Strange weather!

choices - When I cook fish on the stovetop, I often use Tilapia. It seems to lend itself to that method of cooking. I like to mix parmesan cheese with some whole wheat breadcrumbs. You can buy whole wheat Panko breadcrumbs which are quite crispy. I also like to throw bread in my toaster oven and run it through the food processor and then store the crumbs in Tupperware. That gives a softer crumb. I use cod in soup/stew but haven't been that thrilled with flounder. Mahi Mahi is good grilled and I love to make Red Snapper Courtbouillon.

All this talk of fish makes me want some..I bought some but have not cooked it yet. I just put a turkey breast in the oven, for supper and cooking beans also. The beans should last a few days, will also be good in a salad.

clouds left, sun is a shining, about 80...so nice outside..:D
