PH2 - I gained 1 lb eeek!!!!

  • Ok I started Jan 2. So I have officially finished week 2 of phase two.

My only add ins have been non instant oatmeal for breakfast (3 times a week).

1/2 a sweet potato last Sat ngiht

1-2 Glasses of wine each night
  • Run your food through fitday and measure that wine. According to Fitday a glass is 3.5 ounces. My glasses hold about 6! I'm a wino too and find I cannot budge the scale when I have wine.
  • All I can think is it must be the wine. Although I thought everywhere I read that wine was ok? I'm going off of it for a few days and hopping in the scale again Friday to see if it made a difference. Phase two is so freaky for me. My husband keeps loosing like a champ. It's so not fair.
  • hey
Don't freak out, you'll settle into a routine with the WL, how much do you have to lose?

Men, that's not fair. Good that he is losing though.
  • I was 136.5. (Jan 2 - start date)
After Phase one 129.5 (Jan 16)
Phase two end of week one 129.5 (Jan23) not too nervous
    Now 130.5 (Jan 30) Eeek!

Ideally I'm most comfortable between 120-125.

    It's all just so scary.

My husband lost 15 lbs in phase one!
He lost 2 more lbs in phase 2.
  • The thing is, I am ok with the South Beach diet eating concepts for the rest of my life except for my wine. I do love my wine. I enjoy all the low carb foods, and I love vegetables and salads so it hasn't been a hard diet to follow.
  • I am wondering if you will lose a little more slowly because you don't have that much to lose? How much weight does your husband have to lose? I know my bf drops weight SO quickly, we did Atkins like 6 years ago, while I lost about 10-15 pounds.. he lost 30!!! Men! heh..

  • I don't mind losing slowly. I do mind gaining though.

Men - It's just not fair!
  • I think you have done wonderfully...Hang in there...We all have up and down days....maybe the wine..try not having it and see or have less...Are you drinking more water to help flush the wine? just ideas...
  • Thanks for the encouragement ladies!!!
    :-)
