These are not mine - most of them came from a woman named Jean. The notes are not mine, either.
Oil and Vinegar Dressing:
3/4 cup olive oil
2 TB lemon or lime juice
1 TB balsamic vinegar
1 TB plain vinegar
3-8 cloves of garlic depending on size--smushed thru a garlic
press
1/2 tsp dry mustard
fresh ground pepper
couple dashes of cayenne

Jean B's Speedy Oriental Salad Dressing (for 2 salads)
This dressing boasts a great time to taste ratio.
1 tsp grated or minced ginger
1 tsp dark oriental sesame oil
1 Tbsp white vinegar
2-3 Tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp sugar or honey (use sugar sub.)
dash pepper
Combine all ingredients.

Jean B's Ginger Dressing
Terrific on both green and avocado-fruit salads (if you eat
fruit).
1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and in small hunks
1 small onion, peeled and in hunks
1 small clove garlic, optional
1 stalk celery, in 1-inch pieces
3/4 c oil
1/4 c DARK sesame oil
1/2 c plus 2 Tbsp cider vinegar
1/3 c Japanese soy sauce
juice of 1 lemon
1 Tbsp tomato paste
2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
1/2 c water
1 tsp MSG (I'd probably omit this now)
Process ginger, onion, garlic (if using), celery, and oils in
blender until as smooth as possible. Add remaining ingredients,
and
process until fully integrated. Jean B.

Betsy B's Sesame Seed Dressing
This was my sister's standard dressing for many years.
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teas sesame seeds
1/2 c oil (I, JB, would use 2 Tbsp dark oriental sesame oil as
part of this)
1/4 c cider vinegar
1/4 c lemon juice
1/4 tsp salt
freshly ground black pepper to taste
basil, preferably fresh, to taste (about 2 leaves, chopped)
Saute garlic and sesame seeds in oil until browned. Cool. Blend
thoroughly with the remaining ingredients.

Dorothy B's House Dressing
This was the dressing I grew up with.
1 c oil
1/2 c combined cider vinegar and freshly squeezed lemon juice
(more vinegar than lemon
juice)
2 teas salt
1 tsp celery salt
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp mixed salad herbs (I'd interpret this as basil and
oregano)
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1 clove garlic, pressed
Combine in a bottle and let sit for several hours ere using.
Shake well before each use.

Jean B's Bleu Cheese Dressing (2 c)
3 oz Danish Bleu cheese
1 c sour cream
1/4 c mayonnaise
1/4 c dry sherry
1/4 c white wine vinegar
1 Tbsp minced onion
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp paprika
1/8 tsp black pepper
Crumble bleu cheese into medium-sized bowl. Add remaining
ingredients and stir until well-blended. Cover and chill at
least 1
hour to let flavors blend. (If you have the foresight, make it
the day before you plan to use it.) Serve on green salads with
tomatoes and avocados or whatever.

Green Goddess Dressing (2 c)
1 3/4 c mayonnaise
6 anchovy filets
3 green onions, in pieces
2 shallots, halved
2 Tbsp tarragon vinegar
10 sprigs parsley, stems removed
2 sprigs fresh tarragon or 1 tsp dried tarragon
Whomp all ingredients in blender or food processor. Chill.
Note: Equal parts of guacamole and sour cream make a nice
dressing for shrimp.
