Reading the book again

I have been a little confused by the portions, and rules of the diet. Based upon the questions on the forum, I think a lot of people are confused, as well.

I think the biggest area of concern for me are the recipe portions, such as soup, etc. I think it is easy to plop down the veg, protein, grain portions, on a plate. Perhaps that is the simplest way to follow the plan anyway. A salad, the protein, the grain. Couldn't get any simpler, right.

It is harder to determine the bowls of soup, casseroles, and other recipes. Would be nice if it said this contains 1 portion of grain, or veg, or protein. Also, there seems to be some ingredients in wave 1 recipes that are not allowed until wave 2, but I could be wrong.

All in all, I think that rather than having read the book thouroughly the first time, I actually just skimmed through to the good stuff. I do that with books like this, rather than read the first pages of information, I just want to know the guidelines immediately. However, it seems that I may have missed a lot of valuable information by jumping to the diet outline. So, I think if I start reading it today, and keep reading cover to cover, some of the confusion is bound to go away.

Does anyone know if the author has a site to anwer questions? I could not get on line with the free week that the book says you are supposed to get from her site.

The site is very messed up. I quit my membership because there was always something wrong with it, so its no surprise that that feature is not working. I would call their customer service number. That is the only site I know of.
