I did not intentionally follow it. My diet has been based on trial and error over the past 2-3 years based on eating what works for my body and cutting that which does not.
And I have ended up with something that looks very much like the Med diet.
I eat tons of fish. A lot of salad. Olives. Nuts. Dried fruit. Red wine. And a little dark chocolate. Low dairy. Hardly any red meat. And relatively few processed carbs.
I really like the diet because by just eating more fish I can really fuel my weight training without gaining any fat. It is awesome.
More than weight loss it is just so good for your body. My hair, skin and eyes are amazing.
To lose weight on it, I would just reduce my portion sizes. But it is very hard to gain weight. You just maintain if you eat too much. Which is what I do to build muscle. But I am maintaining. So I must be cutting fat at the same time.
I call that sweet.
Exercise with it and you will get the full benefits.
