I feel a lot better just having written it. I just lifted weights and that made me feel better too. I weigh myself everyday...but the one that counts is on thursday. And it feels like every thursday I weigh the same...I'm willing to try not weighing myself until next thursday and we can check in with each other. I'm not trying to be a hypocrit...I've always been a monster to myself but I can't stand watching other people do it to themselves. I guess I should work on that. Thanks for the pep talk

Heheh, most of them I make up as I'm going along Ping! I wanted to make a vegetable dish and my boyfriend had randomly bought me a pineapple when he was shopping so in went half of it! I don't eat meat so I have to keep it interesting!

But if you wanted to give it a try I literally cooked in a tiny bit of olive oil - Chopped up - 1 red pepper, 1 onion, bowl of mushrooms, about 3 tomatoes and half a pineapple. Cooked for a few mins then added a couple tablespoons of ready made black bean sauce.

It was really good! I ate it on its own but would be lovely with rice too I bet

Well, last night I ate. A LOT. Pepperoni rolls, this huge thing called a bierock that was like a hamburger wrapped in dough and baked, french fries (gasp!!) two bites of cheesecake, and then a so.-co., coke and lime and a guinness, just for good measure. The thing is, I thought I would feel awful this morning and I didn't. I thought my body would look bloated and it didn't. I'm not allowing myself on the scale so I don't know if anything is reflected there, and maybe since I don't have a number to focus on I'm not upset. I almost feel like I needed to do it. I mean, I'm going to eat well today and exercise and all that, but I just feel way better than I thought I would.

Today:

B: No breakfast...I'm not hungry
L: Some sort of sandwich on WW or a WW wrap
D: out with my dad and baby bro, but definitely a good choice wherever we go, I'm in the mood for veggies.

Exercise: walk the dog, New York City Ballet Workout

B: Cheese and tomato toasted sandwich on ww
L: Veg crispy fillet on ww with tomato and mustard
D: Thai fish and vegetable curry with rice, 4 glasses red wine and 3 jack daniels and coke

1/2 hour wii, 1/2 hour dog walk, 2 hours shopping (what? it's still cardio!)

Hope you're enjoying the weekend!

oo-la-la ! I will try the pineapple concoction!!
I think I am going to try the not weighing myself for a week advice and see if some of my hunger is just anxiety about dieting and focusing all my thoughts on what the scales say and see if I can just eat when I'm hungry and not beyond. Weird food day, I've only eaten some slaw but tonite I am attending a charity fuction that always serves HUNDREDS of cookies so perhaps I am preparing.... I am still exercising, today I decided instead of walking I would RUN around inside the house while listening to Bette Midler---a very strange sight...

hi all, i'm posting here because i'm going to be embarking on the mediterranean diet adventure, in fact i've kinda already started. i need some place to keep myself accountable and i've been reading all these posts and i'm really excited!

here's what i've eaten today:

breakfast: coffee and kashi bar, low fat yogurt
lunch: salad w/ onion, celery, spinach and grilled whitefish, also diet coke (i'm a pop addict, so sad)
snack: one, and i mean ONE hershey kiss, lol.
dinner: going out with the bf, but luckily the place we're going has tons of options and many healthy ones including a grilled vega pita with feta on it. wahoo!

i'm trying to lose 30 pounds and i hate diets with a vehement passion so i hope this new way of eating really works, thanks in advance for letting me post here and share my food activity.
