today:

I've had a pretty good food day, provided I don't do anything to screw myself up before bedtime.

B: smoothie with greek yogurt, banana, mixed frozen berries, whey protein, sugar free latte
L: eggplant and pasta, tossed salad with balsamic vinagrette
S: very small piece of dark chocolate
D: grilled snapper with tarragon orange butter, brown rice, glass of sauvignon blanc. This was my first try with sauvignon blanc. A little too dry for my taste. Won't buy another bottle of this.

I'm loving my Wii Fit. Will probably play with that for a little while tonight before I go to bed.

My menu yesterday was abysmal. I slept late after my night shift then went out shopping without eating.
All I had was a quorn burger in a wholemeal bun with tsp tikka masala sauce.
Myself and bf drank about 2 and a half bottles of wine between us so I guess I had about 5 glasses. Calorie wise I probably didn't go too far overboard because I ate so little but this was really bad and I feel like crap today. Note to self; eat if drinking.

Anyhoo, world hasn't ended. Will update later with todays

I gave a lecture at the hospital last night that included dinner. The meal was definately not something I would have made for myself but I'll survive. The rest of the day was pretty good.

B: 2 slices french toast made with whole grain bread, and real maple syrup, sugar free latte
L: eggplant and pasta, tossed salad with balsamic vinagrette
S: a little bittersweet chocolate
D: chicken fried steak (this is a southern thing), mashed potatoes, and green beans. I had very little mashed potatoes and a lot of water because my mouth got dry from being nervous.

Sarah, your meals always sound so exotic

I wonder why my signature isn't posting.

Zofia-breakups are never easy, but food won't make it any better. I promise. And in fact, taking good care of yourself through this will help.

B: 2 eggs over easy, slice of whole grain toast, 1/2 grapefruit, sugar free latte
L: pasta and eggplant
S: peanutbutter crackers (didn't pack enough for lunch)
D: grilled snapper, brown rice, broccoli, 1/2 glass of sauvignon blanc (not crazy about this wine), tunisian orange, date, and pistachio salad.

I must have done something right this past week because my scale rewarded this morning.

My menu is getting interesting again-lets hope I like the stuff I'm making.
Here's what I had yesterday

B: whole grain cereal (mix of steel cut oats and barley) with some honey, raisins, nuts, sugar free latte
L: last of the pasta and eggplant, tossed salad with raspberry vinagrette
S: dark chocolate
D: whole grain penne with vegetarian bolognese (interesting but not sure I would make it again)
S: more dark chocolate

I'm cooking my goat meat today. I have a recipe for a lamb and lentil soup that is actually more like a stew. I'm substituting goat meat. Its made in the slow cooker. The meat smelled wonderful while I was browning it in the pan. I think I'm going to like goat.
