Oh come on now!!
What in the world? Come on you guys! Where are you??
This Sonoma forum seems really, really slow....where as the Low-Carbers and WW's have thousands of posts. Come on fellow Sonoma dieters!!!!! Let's support each other!!

I'm with you. That's why I was looking for something people could commit to doing. What would you like to see happen here on a regular basis?

I would really like to come here and find other people that are sucessfully living the Sonoma lifestyle. It would be really nice to at least see a few new posts in a day. If it stays this slow, I guess I'll go back to lowcarbfriends.com. I was just looking for something new I guess. I read several posts on here that said there was an issue with posters coming on, posting, and then leaving. I guess I kinda see why now.
I'm not saying I want to leave. I just want someone I can talk about what we've eaten that day, exercise, motivation, goals, etc. with on a pretty regular basis. KWIM?

This does not appear to be a very popular diet on this site but there are a few of us. Did you read my post about breathing some life into this forum? I was looking for suggestions about some regular feature here that people could connect with. I figured I would give it a week to make sure anyone who had something to add had a chance to post and then would pick the most popular idea.

Yes I did read your post. I can't remember it right now though! LOL
I think having a place for everyone to post their daily menus would be nice. That way we are being held responsible for that day's food intake and also possibly sharing some new recipes with others. What do you think?
I also really like the idea of the Sonoma Challenge.
What about a role call? That way we know who's on board with us. We HAVE to do something to get this board rolling! Atkins and WW are probably over there pointing fingers and laughing at us! LOL

It sounds like menu posting is probably going to be the winner. How about we start on Monday. I think if we can get people to commit to doing something here, maybe there will be more interest.

I've been researching different types of diets to try out, but the Sonoma diet is the hardest to come up with information on regarding easy meal plans and recipes!
Perhaps someone could create a FAQ thread for the diet, meal plans sound like a good idea too!
Just some suggestions ^_^

I'll try to join in....
Just started the Sonoma diet two weeks ago, but failed at sticking to Wave One....since I generally eat properly and don't have much sugar I have gone to Wave 2, and keeping my sugar to apples, which are great this time of year.
I am signed on at the Sonoma site and working with a nutritionist on line, which so far is helping me stick with it. She is helping me change some of my eating habits.....ingrained after years of practice....of eating my meals too close together and then snacking at night. This last week I've dropped weight, finally.

I am sorry I have not been around lately. Due to the lack of posting on this board I go to other boards and post. (shrug)
I will try to post more. I have not been able to stick to wave one, too much junk still in the house, and none of it is fit to give away. So I have been kind of holding out, replacing the bad stuff with good stuff as it gets used up.
I am still on for a menu post though....(its just you don't want to see my menu's now..LOL)

Um...seems like I'm probably not alone here! I also haven't been able to stick with Wave one to the T. I have eaten too many almonds and peanuts and last night I had two YUMMY glasses of wine.
I think I'm going to stick with the Sonoma food list and also count calories.

I would like to post here regularly as well!!! How about we just start a thread and talk about what we did right that day? So we could include our menus and talk about our eating habits.... we could also we could pledge exercise minutes and post them. That way, we are being accountable.
Even if it is a small group, I hope that we can all post here consistantly. I really think it will help all of us reach our goals!

Good Morning!
I will start a support thread for us, menus and exercise or whatever else we are doing.
I am having a hard time getting going on this...LOL...I thining I am about there though. I have been having a very hard time sleeping, so that means I don't wake up in the mornings to workout and get ready for work. Which is kind of counter intuitive, because if I worked out I would probably sleep better!
Ok, I will go start that thread....

Good morning!
Today is officially Day one for me. I tried South Beach (again) last week, but found that I missed my healthy starches way too much, so I pulled out my year-old copy of Sonoma and reviewed it last night. I hope you all keep posting! I went on the Sonoma site but since I already paid for the book did not want to also pay to be on the site. I hate the double dipping engaged in by some of these diet plans.

If you have book, there is no need for the website, I am told. I never been on it, but one person told me one time that she had the same 10 menus over and over...
I think to personalize it is better anyway!
Welcome!!!

I belong to the website. You can change the meals to come up with menus you want. I find that to be the only useful part of the site. Sometimes it is just nice to have someone else help me figure out what to eat for dinner.
